Hello forum.
I joined last year, hoping to interact, but something stops me.... and I realise it all boils down to a continuous struggle to believe I am loved,.
I know on some level, that some intelligence created the universe... and when I look outwards, I realise it's very a beautiful and perfect place, and I can see just how it is so easy how "he" has captured all our scientists, all our artists, and every lover of nature...that he made us very curious by nature, but I just can't seem to believe god loves me. Like I am just a speck on 'his' horizon. unfit for purpose..or 'his' serious attention because I should just worship him whatever that means.
Am I a sinner.?I have done bad things to others,? Yes!, but not intentionally.
and yet I rely on others to tell me when I err, otherwise I dontknow nor notice.
is it up to others to tell me I am wrong?
I realise I dont understand the bible or god, but I want to.

What is happening to you is that you are being convicted, (not convict
), your conscious spirit is being touched by the Holy Spirit/God who is drawing you to Him! Letting you know that yes you have fallen short, have missed the mark, a sinner, but not forgotten, not discarded, not unknown, but LOVED
We know this because we too have gone through it, if in slightly different ways, with different stories that each of us have to share, and tell others of. We all have come to the realization of the things that we have done wrong in life, barely even aware of, which God has never wanted for us, which is what is called "SIN" and which has kept us separated from Him.
The question is what can we do about it?
How do we bridge that gap between us and God that we didn't even know existed?
Can we get to know that love that He has for us and how can this happen in a very real and personal way?
First is realizing that God loves you so much that He made a way to get past all the obstacles/walls (sin) if you will that exist.
"For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Yes, you are part of the world that God gave (means to die/sacrificed) His Son (Jesus), to remove all those obstacles/sin that exists and which keeps us from Him!
So, you can know that God does Love you in a very real and certain way April! Oh, gosh how much He Loves
you!!!
Jesus died on a Cross, willingly, for the Love of God, for a dying world! (hugs)
Believe this April! Believe this with all your heart, mind, and soul that this is true, did happen, and need never happen again, for the Love that God has for you, me, and all here on Talk Jesus, and around the World!
He confirmed this by "Raising Jesus from the dead"! Oh, yeah, hard to believe, I know, but very very true! Many were witness' to this and confirmed it that they died for the knowledge of it! If it were a lie, they won't have willingly died for it to be known to all who would listen!
Like I'm telling you know, and everyone else who believes in Jesus as their Savior here on Talk Jesus and around the world will all tell you about Jesus is "He has Risen", alive and well!
This is what is called "Resurrection" or being brought back from the dead to life/living!
In this knowledge that we, you must believe is true, which is putting your faith in that it is true, you will have a change happen to you, that is very hard to explain, so I won't because if you believe it, and tell God that you believe it, YOU WILL KNOW IT!!!! It will wash over you like nothing else has even been able to do in your life!
So, if you believe that Jesus died on the Cross for you, and believe He died and is risen/alive now, and we know forever, you tell God this! It doesn't have to be any special words, because in truth this is between you and God! He will know the sincerity of your belief, for he sees your heart April, and knows you better than anyone ever can, or ever will!
Some will say there are specific words you should say, but you can say what comes to your heart, in the knowledge that Jesus Christ died for your sins, and rose again from the dead, confirming you believe this to be true. Asking forgiveness, sorry for doing them even not knowing you were doing them, and repenting (meaning you won't do them again) and that God will help you in this, as other believers can as well you will find, that as your Savior and Lord from this day forward that Jesus will be the part of your life, that you've been missing, and to help you to be who He wants you to be April, and I tell you He will!!! You will know an overwhelming sense of peace, amazement, come over you, because the God of the Universe Loves you, and wants to be a part of your life! If you will let Him be!!!
So, whether you talk (pray) to God, sitting, standing, on your knees, laying down, however you do it, YOU DO IT!!! Let all the things that have burdened you, that are in your heart & mind, that you've told no one, unburden it to Him!!! He knows already, but like a good friend who never will let you down, you begin this relationship with all the cards on the table, and nothing between you but the truth! He is the best listener ever April!
Once you do this, you come back here and tell us all about it, because you will find that from that moment you've gained a rather large family of Brothers & Sisters in Jesus Christ, that love
you too!!!
So, much more, but you're not ready for it yet. In Jesus Christ you have an eternity!
