I am such a MESS!
I cry at the randomest things.
I have a very short patience.
I never feel good.
I don't feel pretty anymore,
and for the first time in my life..
I am honestly not happy.
I don't know what to do.
I always have people telling me every mistake I make or when something isn't good enough and everybody over looks anything I do that is actually good and it's so discouraging..

There is hope for the helpless
Rest for the weary
Love for the broken heart
There is grace and forgiveness
Mercy and healing
He'll meet you wherever you are
Cry out to Jesus, Cry out to Jesus

For the ones who can't break the addictions and chains
You try to give up but you come back again
Just remember that you're not alone in your shame
And your suffering

When your lonely
And it feels like the whole world is falling on you
You just reach out, you just cry out to Jesus
Cry to Jesus
.....Cry out to Jesus..Third day

You must know who you are in Christ.
Please note if you ever need someone to talk to feel free to pm me.
love you.

Say it out loud and believe it.

There's one thing very certain about what's happening in your life right now. It will change you. For better or for worse, it will change you. During difficult times, you either get stronger in your relationship with Christ or you get weaker. You never stay the same.
But in the middle of such agony and pain, it's hard to see things clearly. It may even be difficult to see God's love. I think about Job, a man in the Old Testament who went through difficult times. He lost his whole family, virtually everything he owned, and went through sickness. He felt like you do now, JG

Look at what Job said during his difficult times:
If I go to the east, God is not there; if I go to the west, I do not see Him. When He is at work in the north, I catch no sight of Him; when He turns to the south, I cannot see Him (Job 23:8-9).

And I want you to understand, JG, exactly what Job later understood: That no matter what you feel or what happens, God does exist and He deeply loves you. No matter how awful things become, no matter what happens, we can never be separated from God's love.

IN Christ,

and everybody over looks anything I do that is actually good and it's so discouraging..

1Co 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

I find it that people usually won't give you the encouriging feedback you'd like to have at least.
But God guide and encourage you, through prayer and His word, in everything you do..

May GOD bless you!!!!!!!

Be encouraged in Jesus

Greetings journalgirl,

it's a bit hard to add to the marvelous posts you have received to your thread, but may I say a couple of things?

First, I want you think about this.... Jesus, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Son of God..... LOVES YOU!

I am such a MESS! May I say a big NO to that? You are looking at things that are getting you down... and that, my friend only gets messy! But, you are not a mess... you are fearfully and wondrously made!

I cry at the randomest things. So do I !

I have a very short patience. Me Too!

I never feel good. Nor I !

I don't feel pretty anymore, would you like to see a picture of ME! Honestly, your beauty comes from within, and the very fact that you are seeing things as you are, means you are not full-of-yourself, you are not saying, "I am wonderful!" which to me is special, in that you are not boasting of your flesh... which also means there is a very high chance that you are a very beautiful soul, and no matter your outward appearance, it is only ever who YOU are, the person inside your body who can be truely pretty to behold.

and for the first time in my life..
I am honestly not happy.
My friend, life has it's seasons, and if we choose to know this as a fact, that as each season passes, we develop in character and yet, we can find ourselves in moments that leave us unhappy, we can pass by the sad times knowing that the spring brings flowers and rain, new growth and lambs... and our sadness too, will pass and you will soon be rejoicing with praise and newness of joy and delight. As you grow, like a tree, you will reach more and more to the light, and for any one human being to find true hapiness, they must be grafted into Jesus Christ, for there is no freedom from emotions without Him, and yet, in Him, we have His joy, which can not be found in this world without Him.

I don't know what to do. Show me someone who always does! If you take your words and look at them, and look at the mere fact that you posted here at Talk Jesus, you will see two facts...
one, that you have done, so in other words, while you say you don't know what to do, you have in fact done something you want to do... to reach out and ask, to seek some sort of helpful advice, to find some answers to your present situation...
and two, I want to assure you that Jesus DOES know what to do, and as you learn that you can fully trust Him, you will see that it is not so much us knowing what to do as trusting Him with our lives that He does know what to do, and as you learn to seek Him in everything, you will see that this is so true, and that He really does LOVE YOU, just as you are ... and that is the most beautiful fact you will ever know.... so allow His love to be your joy and ask Him for His guiding hand to lead you to His green pastures, to His place of peace and rest.. to His heart of eternal love... and YOU WILL find Him there for you.

I always have people telling me every mistake I make or when something isn't good enough and everybody over looks anything I do that is actually good and it's so discouraging.. Such is the way of the world.. if you are not setting the pace that others must follow, you are either swallowed up in the crowd as a dumb sheep, or you are an outcast of some shape, form or another... but this is not the way of Jesus.... He wants us to realise that we have made mistakes, and that all our efforts to win heaven by our own works just aren't good enough, and then to turn to Him and accept that He is the only way to goodness, for He is goodness, and as time passes, we see more clearly just how vain all efforts to seem good are... that only He remains good, and that only His death and sacrifice of love for us is everlasting good..... and as you turn to Jesus for your answers, and accept His love and care, His restoring grace in your life, you will see that He will only ever encourage you, and will set you as a beacon of light in this dark and miserable world.

I was talking to a friend recently.. and several times he said... "all I want to hear when I meet Jesus is, Well done good and faithful steward", yes, that is all he lives for, and like all who love Him, we live and move in this world, and have up's and down's, we get many discouraging comments from often the people closest to us, but all we really care about is to finally meet our Lord and hear Him say... "Well done".

Be encouraged my friend, you are very brave to share your needs and as I said before, you are a beautiful soul in Jesus. And that is precious and lovely.

Take a break from all the stresses of it all, and begin to enjoy His love, find some beauty around you, like flowers and sunsets, the smiles and laughter of children, the delight of seeing young and baby animals... a rainbow or two.... and think on these things and how Jesus, who loves you has blessed your life with such beautiful things.... and from there if you can begin to praise him, you will be reaching toward the heights where no man can prevent you from rejoicing forever more in Jesus your Lord and best friend.

Bless you ....><>

Br. Bear

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Philippians 4:8

Br. Bear, i couldn't have put it better myself.
The only person who has the right to judge you in God.
You are beautiful because you have been made in His image.
Pray dear Sister, pray to Him and let Him know your feelings for He will guide you and strenghen you.

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41.10.

You are Gods child and He will never let you down

Hey journalgirl..

I dont know you. I dont know wat ur age is. I dont know where you are. But there is one thing i guess is common wit us. I was like you, once! Depressed and I did not even have the courage to walk upto someone I know ( a relative) and talk to him. I felt totally horrible at myself. I wanted to stay away from all people. I wanted to be alone - all alone. This was my stage.

But journalgirl, you know wat. Somethings gotta change. And it did change for me. Not by my might, but by the Lord. Things turned around a lot. He saved me from depression. He saved me from being fearful. He saved me from feeling so bad at myself. You know wat did I do to get this change??

Nothing, but simply asked him to lead me to truth every morning. And everytime, I think I did a mistake ( I used to ponder over my mistakes so often n say bad things about me for doing such mistakes, earlier), I would say "I forgive myself for that silly of mine mistake and God, take care of that!" Things started to change one by one.

And right now I am FREE in Christ. And BOLD in Christ. He's there to take care of me and I dont fear! Hurray! :)

I believe you and Christ can do the same magic ;)

journalgirl,

There has been some really GREAT advice and words said already. I know how hard it can be to want people to like us, BUT we are not to go after that. This world lasts but a vapor in time. God is eternal...and His place Heaven is forever. Once we wrap our minds around that, we can see what eternity will be like. Seek out God's approval and no one else's. Believe me, I was there...stumbling along. I have a past where my father physically abused me and my grandfather sexually abused me. I felt ashamed, guilty, ugly, dirty, depressed. One day, sitting in my college dorm, I was crying. God showed up in that place like never before. I will NEVER forget that day (even if I forget the date and the hour!). God does those kinds of things for us. He showed me who I am in HIM! Don't let satan tell you otherwise! Let God show you who you are in HIM! :-) Maybe, like you name says, you need to get out a journal and start writing in it...about anything and everything. I did that for awhile...years. It helps. I even wrote prayers in it that I believe God sees, too.

Blessings to you Sister. Maybe, too, it is time to lay it all on the altar at the feet of Jesus. Hard, yes. Worth it, definitely!
