I dont think I can be saved?

Hello y'all I'm new to the interweb and I just dont think I can contain my shame anymore. I have tried to live an honorable life I've had a few slip ups along the way (looking at improper imagery, smoking a pot cigarette twice) have'nt we all but I have tried to repent and have meddled with a mish mash of philosophies but now I need someone to turn to. I have done things recently that I am to embarassed to mention. Can I trust people here to talk to me without judgement?

GOD will forgive you for anything you've done wrong except blashpemy, which clearly you are not doing now because you seek GOD. Guess what? (note: this happens ALL the time thanks to GOD's awesome grace). Guess who led you to this site? No, I don't want to hear Google. GOD led you here! GOD does this everyday.

GOD led you to this site of a great family / body of and in Christ! He loves you and is calling for your attention. This is a sign (of many) that He loves you, will forgive you and wash your sins away with the blood of Christ! Want more? GOD will use all of us to preach to you, teach you and encourage you daily in your daily walk with Christ!

Thinking and trying are what man thinks about salvation, but God shows us that TRUST is the most important thing. Putting our faith and trust in the Person of Jesus Christ, as our personal Savior. Nothing that we have done nor could do will bring us to Christ, He did it all when He stretched out His arms for us on the cross at Calvary. He tells us that we all are sinners and He doesn't want us to die in our sin. We must believe in Him, trust Him as our Savior, and He gives us eternal life...not because we deserve it, but because He loves us and died for that purpose. He wants us to come to Him and learn from Him that He came to give us LIFE and be the LIFE in/through us.
He seeks the lost, and calls them to Himself. He wants to be their personal Savior for He is already known as the Savior of the world. He came to "seek and to save that which was lost"(Luke 19:10), to redeem(buy back) the soul of man that Adam gave over to the devil when he chose to sin.. We must judge ourselves, examine our motives, but remember that God is the final judge. True confession of our sin to Christ and turning from it is true repentance.

The shame you feel inside is the Holy Spirit working on your Conscience. The Holy Spirit is judging you. And you have respond with regret for the evil that you have done. Do not be despondent. I would be despondent for you if you had said you where proud of the evil that you have done. But i have hope for you and you should also have hope. Chad is right. You have been lead to us through the power of God.

If you want to Private Message me i will listen to what you are embarrassed to mention. It is good for Christians to confess to each other and pray for each other. I am a male by the way.

Hello, welcome to TalkJesus! It's great to meet you. Anyone can be saved. Do you know the story of the cross? It's one of my personal favorites. Jesus forgives, trust me.I wouldn't be standing here today if he didn't. Jesus's blood was strong enought to wipe away every sin you've ever done. He's already forgiven your pot-smoking and looking, he did many years ago! He forgave you when he was nailed to the cross. That's why Jesus, the son of God, came to earth. He came to earth to heal and forgive. He came down from Heaven, to secure your forgiveness. Since Jesus was perfect, he was the only thing that could save us, who are imperfect. Jesus died to throw away our imperfections. All he does is love. Your his child, and he loves you. He always, always forgives. As soon as we do any sin, he throws it away into the sea of forgetfullness. Think of a father. Even when his chid throws a temper tantrum, that doesn't keep the father from loving him. It's the same with Jesus. He'll never, ever, ever stop loving you.
But I've gotten away from the true miracle. Jesus himself. He let men drive nails through his feet and hands, he let men beat him, whip him, engrave a crown of thorns into his fore-head. And he forgave them for it. He went through all of that, just so he could say to you,
" I love you." If that's not forgiveness, I don't know what is.

We all do shameful acts, we are human, it is only because of the Cross and Christ's blood that we can be forgiven. There is nothing we can do to be forgiven. We are not here to judge because we would be the first ones to be judged for our own sins.

I think you guys have this one covered, but I want to leave to tell you this, God loves you. No matter what you have done or how bad you think you are, he will love anyways. It's that OGODBEY love that will keep you strong. You can be saved, and the Grace that saves you will be the same Grace to keep you. Remember that!

You can be saved and call on Jesus, admitt you are a sinner(which we all are myself included ) and ask for forgiveness for your sins, ask the Holy Spirit to come in your heart and live with in you and guide you. Read the bible everyday fellowship with bible based believers ( you found a good group here at talk Jesus) and you will grow in the Lord .

Glory to God

I just spent some time with a new believer yesterday (less than one month in the Lord; former alcoholic; now 49 years old). It was so encouraging to hear how the Holy Spirit had drawn him to Christ because of fear about his mortality. He came to our church, received Christ, and is reading much from the Bible. He is beginning to learn of the Old Testament witness to Christ (miraculous prophecies, like in Isaiah, Psalms, Ezekiel, Daniel, etc.). He now is beginning to wonder why his old friends don't see the light in Christ that he has now found. May God be praised for this miracle birth to new life in Christ.

Hey, i`ve done alot of things i was ashamed about too. But can i tell you if we were all perfect then we wouldn`t need a Saviour. Jesus died for all sin, all our shame and all our pain and hurt.There is no one that cant be saved. If you had of known me 15 years ago, some might have thought i would never come to Jesus, but i did. I didnt change overnight but as i walked close to Him, day by day the old me became the new me. I have been a Christian for a while now, but if i told you that i didn`t slip and do wrong things now and then, i would be a liar. Jesus accepts us where we are at but He loves us too much to let us stay as we are.The closer we get to Jesus, the more we become like Him.
You are accepted here, no one will judge you. It is Jesus that will help you to change, just ask Him to help you. Open your heart to Him, believe me, He is really good at transforming lives. He changed mine and helped me. He will do the same for you

Let me tell ya, I wish that was all that I've done. About 7 years ago I committed a crime that sent me to prison for 8 years. I was at the point that I didn't think I was worthy of God's love. (I accepted Christ in 1990). I learned through reading God's dword that no matter what I've done, God not can, but will forgive.
You can know that God does love you and will forgive you for what ever you've done. Now other Christians; that's another story.

Just give Him a chance and see what He can do.
