I doubt or do not believe as much as I think I do, the works of god. I've heard so many times to pray and let god take over my situation. But he hasant done a thing.

• Read and learn the word of God more and you will understand more, that doubt is part of every believers trial and tribulation and it is a sin that Jesus also died for.
• Read and study John 3:5, are you truly Born Again? Do you truly know Jesus.
• If you are saved, it is not a magic pill for instant perfection and not doubting.
• We all doubt to some degree....any degree is a sin but....Romans 8:1,....we are forgiven
• Stay in God's word....google what the Bible says about doubt and grow spiritually!

It's actually not a problem at all,it is an awesome opportunity to have faith.
I know it sounds crazy but hear me out.
Faith is a substance that is difficult understand and even more difficult to produce.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

There needs to be some reason we even seek to know about things that we can't see.
As a child I thought I had evidence that Santa Clause was real,those presents under the tree were pretty convincing evidence.
Once I knew it was my parents I no longer had enough evidence to have faith in Santa and I don't need faith to believe my parents exist.
So to produce faith I need at least enough evidence to continue seeking but not enough to be certain.
There is no need for faith in heaven because you can see the end result.

Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

How could we please or do anything for God who supplies all and needs nothing.
Well there is one way,you have to be put in a place were you can't possibly believe that God is real and good.
But you have just enough evidence to seek to understand why there is any good in the world at all.

John 20:29 Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
The apostles did not need faith because the object of their hope was standing in front of them.
In another verse he told the apostles that they were blessed to see and hear the things that they saw and heard.
This is not a contradiction,you are blessed to seek and blessed when you find.

So when it just seems like there is no God but you see little signs that love does exist it is a tremendous opportunity to produce a substance that is pleasing to God.
When you finally meet him you will be so happy that you'll wish you had really just trusted your Daddy all along(You'll be like,"send me back Lord,this time I won't complain so much").

In John 20:27 Jesus told Thomas "Blessed are they who have not seen yet have believed". A very wise man named John Wimber once said that faith is spelled R I S K. We decide to stop doubting; sometimes that decision has to be made many times a day in the beginning.

My opinion/my experience: God likes to see how much He can get from us. Of all of the stories in the Bible I don't think He ever just jumped at anyone's beck and call, even of the many prophets. He tests us to see what kind of fruit our faith can produce ( kinda like thiscrosshurts said above ) because it is important to Him that we grow in this way as a Christian. I know that it may not be the answer that you were looking for, but no one can really tell you how to place your faith in God. If you truly want to find Him you must truly look.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Know what the word "diligently" means? If not, look it up.

child i fully understand youre doubt: we have all had our moments of doubt and fear serving the Lord . but God always shows his love for us at the times of doubt so He can step in with us out of the way . I was a drug mule from 13 to 28 ..with no hope of a good life ahead..i met the Lord at the point of suicide. IM 56 now and have seen God do many things that are with out explination , faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word ...faith is beliving in things with out seeing..i can assure you that God is not a respecter of people or things when it comes to showing Himself God ! chlid God loves you like no other and is waiting for you to trust HIm compleatley. trust and patienence are the Key to beliving with out seeing ..knowing that the nature of God towards me and you is what gets us thriough.....HIs promises to name a few are .I AM the Lord God Almighty..i will provide your needs according to my riches in Glroy..Gods ways are higher than our ways and will acomplish that which is Good in our lives for His Glory that we may have life and have it more abundantly..it comes with a peace that passes all understanding ..I pray that you continue to seek Him and allow the time of Gods hand to be the rule in youre life ..God is not a jennie in the bottle butlike any loving father He gives us what we need when it is best for us and not before ..continue to wait on the Lord and see HIs Great and mighty hand at work in youre life.......Rev

I have noticed in many of forums the subject of doubt. Since some do not wish to understand what belief is,lets look at doubt then for a moment! Not being a smarty here! For I know of no person in this world who has not doubted! I sure have myself! But lets look at what doubt is made up of. All doubt is based upon ones own feeling and emotion,it also comes to us from a serious lack of knowledge of where our eyes and mind should be placed upon. Doubt starts out very small,and snowballs into what it hopes to become a lasting effect on all of us believers! Doubt looks to lead our life,doubt requires faith as well! Doubt lives in the temporal( 2 cor 4:16-18) and through our many trials, looks to preserve itself deep within our mindset,until pretty soon it has us just where it wants!!! US!

Now everything in our life is doubted upon! And we not longer have any doubt in doubting!! The opposite of faith! And yet doubt can produce much fruit in itself as well!! As we all can attest to! Doubt is not new to any of us,doubt was born when Adam was created,and has looked to become part of everyone's life young and old.

Let us gaze back a moment to see doubts birth.( gen 2:16-17) The only rule!! And this given by the creator himself to man himself! In the garden there was no law,only a rule which governed the garden. So the enemy had only one way to tempt man,he first had to deceive Eve into believing his doubt about what God told Adam in the first place,and he did this. Adam now listened to his wife rather then the words he heard from the creator himself!He doubted the creators words???In person yet??

Yes he did,hence why in verse 17 of gen 3 God is very upset at his doubting him,for doubt is true unbelief! Another words when we doubt the Lord, we are saying he has told us a lie to us about what he said! And when his own words tells us it is impossible for him to ever lie to us!!( heb 6:18) We then look to say he did?? Then our life goes from bad to worse, and we blame God when this all happened because we decided to doubt in the first place??( eph 4:27) Adam did the same, and gave birth to what we have done,he gave the devil a full opportunity to run doubt all over him!

Doubt likes agreement to!! ( matt 18:19-20!!!) And we become surprised? We decide to take charge and blame the Lord for us taking charge? LOL I know!!! I have! But you see how innocent doubt looks to appear,yet its results, not only do so much harm to us as believers, but it takes away the very hope of others who need so very much to FORM belief!! ( in there own mindset, they need to SEE!!!! themselves believing!!) So can belief ever be born through doubt? Lets look shall we?( john 20:26-29) Thomas doubted! But notice this, so VERY IMPORTANT!!!

When Thomas looked unto Jesus himself you will notice Jesus said Thomas, reach here with your fingers, and see my hands, and reach here your hand and put it into my side and do not be unbelieving, but believing! Now the POINT!! The Word never says Thomas did this!! verse 28!! Thomas SAID!! believing!!! My Lord and my God!!

Today Jesus is asking us to do the same thing,will we have to touch him to believe? Or will we as Thomas take his true word for it?? How we decide determines our life brothers and sisters! And when Jesus word himself became good enough for me,I, like Thomas stopped doubting! And I KNOW!!! If i can do this anyone can! No one had more distrust then i had!! LOL

I found out doubt starts within and has its work present to self and all on the outside,doubt does have its work as does belief!( john 6:28-29!!). May this comfort those in doubt,for the Lord says to have mercy on those who doubt!( Jude 1:22) BUT!!! to also save others snatching them out of the fires of doubt!( verse 23) And this can only be done by Jesus and his word, never mine own! Great talk on doubt.
We all have our share from time to time and it is great to understand it and not let it be a stumbling block.
It too is a sin and when even the most faithful of us succumb to it, we have this to fall back on: Romans 8:1

There are a few things that would help but the most important one is to Build Up Your Faith for when this is done you begin to see with faith. Then doubt and unbelief and fear will bow unto you and have no say. These few scriptures that I will write out for you will change this in you BUT you will have to do your part AND THEN God will do His.

Romans 12:2 KJV
And be not conformed to this wortld; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good , and acceptable and perfect will of God.

and as you do this you will have to make this next verse a must do and put it into practice 24/7/365

Casting down "imaginations" or "reasonings" and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into CAPTIVITY every thought to the obedience of Christ.

How do you take a thought ? You say it or speak it. If you speak the thoughts that you are trying to take captive and cast down it will become a battle of it's own that does not need to be fought. Pluss when you speak words they are also heard with your inner ear or another words your mind pays close attention to the words you speak and files them and they are what ends up controlling how you think or act or react....It really is true !!

NOTE: Lust of the flesh can be said as PRESSURE and is not always a sexual thing. Lust of the flesh is simply the way you did things before God or living as the worldly do. Lust of the flesh can be DOUBT....FEAR....UNBELIEF and so forth.

Real Tree Girl once you do these to the point that they have built up your faith you will not have that problem at all. Faith drives it all out. You are going to have to make the choice to choose to do this and FOLLOW THROUGH WITH IT.
I can say this............it change my life big time.
