I have a silly question but it’s bothering me

So I was invited by some of my Christian friends to go to an escape room tonight but the type of escape rooms theme is something that bothers me. I’m bad at explaining so I’ll leave a link to the video-
But I didn’t like how it was based around “doing a ritual” to “appease a sun god”. Even the end were the man said “may appuche (the sun god) be with you” really set me off. But please watch the video to understand the context it will definitely help. I’m honestly surprised they choose this room considering how religious they seem though. The problem was I already said yes to going before I knew the room. Never in a million years did I think it would be this. Now I want to get out of it because I feel like it’s wrong. I don’t want to do that and it be offensive or wrong in God’s name. Is that silly? Should I go or not?

Just seen the vid. I think it's one where you need to make your own judgement call. If you can't participate with a clear conscience, then it's best to explain to your friends and politely excuse yourself.

But if you take the view that it's a game and a chance to spend time with friends, then go ahead.

Paul discusses eating food sacrificed to idols in 1 Corinthians 8. The way he approaches that problem might help you work out what to do in your situation.

Eeeeeww. Don't go.
I had an escape room once with a day out with the office. Had no idea what they had planned or what an escape room was. They think it's fun or something. Eeeww. With some pic of a ghost from a dead girl. If someone would invite me for an escape room now I'd say no. And this sounds really evil. No way.

That has got to be one of the dumbest videos I have ever seen! The Bible talks about people who use to worship (still do today) created things (the sun) and not the one who created it!

Rom 1:21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Rom 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
Rom 1:23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1Corinthians 10:13

Greetings,

It doesn’t mean that everyone is doing it, it is right. If you discern that it is wrong then i think you are there for a reason to remind your co brethren in Christ and stand your ground that it is wrong and abomination in the eyes of The Lord.

Bless you.

I would suggest following the movement of the Spirit within you . You already Know it is wrong . And i dont need to watch the video to know any idol worship is breaking the 1st Commandment .
