We are all ChristianHi Catholina,
If you want to be a Christian what you need to do is accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal saviour and then ask God to forgive all your sins, past and future. That's it, you do that, you're a Christian. Jesus says -
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them out of My hand. My Father who has given them to Me is greater than all. No one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand.… John 10:28-29.
Then you need to work on a one2one, personal and intimate relationship with creator God, your father. You can do that firstly by prayer and worship. Tell God you love Him, tell Him why and what it is about Him you adore so much. Chat to Him, tell Him about your day, your fears, what you like and dislike. He's God, He's your father and your best mate. That's the relationship He wants from you.
Like any father, God loves His Kids' obedience and hates rebellion. So to know what God likes and hates, you need to read the Bible. If you download a free app called YouVersion onto your smartphone or tablet, you'll have a Bible. The default is King James Version which can be a bit Shakespearean but there are about 20-30 other versions to which you can download within the app. I like the NKJV and the NIV. The Amplified Bible is also very useful. There's also verse of the day and lots of free Bible study plans. It's absolutely brilliant!!
To answer the second part of your question, I'd ask you to research God's will on the issues you've raised. Sometimes a Google search can be useful but be careful and beware that amongst wheat, there's quite a few tares so as John puts it -
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. 1 John 4:1-3
Again, prayer is important. Ask God to lead, guide and reveal Himself and His will and plan for you by His Holy Spirit working in you.
When you feel, deep down you know the what God wants, you've got to ask yourself, am I prepared to do that? Do I love God so much that I want to please Him and not to stress Him?
Then read Genesis chapter 22, the story of Abraham offering His son Isaac. Context: Abraham, for his whole adult life wanted a son and often prayed to God to bring this about. His wife Sarah had fertility problems and so she was unable to give Abraham what he wanted. It wasn't until Abraham was into his 100s and his wife her 90s that God directly intervened and Sarah became pregnant and Abraham's son was born.
In Genesis 22 you'll read how God tested Abraham's faith by asking him to murder his son and give him as a human sacrifice to God. Abraham said OK. He didn't plead, negotiate, have tantrums or try to reason with God. When Abraham said yes, God was so delighted with Abraham, He promised him many blessings, chief of which he became father of the nation of Israel. Now imagine if Abraham had said no, that's too much. God would have understood, but think of all the blessings Abraham would have forgone.
In the same way God gave His Son Jesus to die a horrendous death in order to rescue you from an inevitable and horrific future. That's how much He loves you. So if God were to ask you to give up things that you hold dear, you have two choices. It's up to you as to whether you're prepared to risk losing the many blessings that God wants to shower upon you and disobeying and upsetting the God you love.
I know that I've upset God plenty and forgone many blessings for what in hindsight seems like transitory and empty pleasures which I bitterly regret.
I would ask that you follow Abraham rather than Andy.
May God bless you as you get to know Him, you're one true friend who'll always be with you and will never let you down or turn His back on you.
Lots of love,
Andy

This is a difficult situation. Just keep calm and pray to Jesus Christ. Tell him how you feel and ask Him to help you and bring you peace.
