If you could go back in time, what Bible character(besides Jesus) would you like to talk to and why?

I would like to talk to Paul because I love all of his books in the Bible, he referred himself as a servant of Jesus Christ and he preached salvation by faith.

The reason I picked Paul is that he, prior to his salvation and spending 14 years on the back of the deserts of Arabia hated, despised and abhorred Christians...And was forgiven much!!!

I think it would be awesome to hear him preach, see him teach and give truth to the power of Jesus Christ as One who knew him as he had been literally confronted by the one he laboured against!!!

I'd like to talk to Noah. What incredible faith! It's because of his faith we're all here!

I would have to say David, he was a man after God's own heart and I think worshiping with him would of be awesome, hear a couple of his crazy adventures and write some songs together,

I would say David too as I read this before and thought about it. As rizen says and I remember him David a man after God's own heart. Although there was also Jabez and another one Caleb who had a different spirit.

God bless

LLJ  :rainbow: :rose:

Paul because he had such a passion for Jesus - maby he would give me some or show me how to stay closer to God. I could learn a lot from him.

Others i would like to speak to would be Josiah becuase of the reforms and the passion he had too....he was closer to God than almost any king.

I would surely go with John because I know Jesus loved him dearly. He was closest to Jesus than all the other disciples. Even the book of John is awesome and shows the depth of love John had for Jesus.

I agree with you all, but I would love to see Jesus in action when He dealt with pharisees, when he lovingly healed, when He showed He knew the woman at well's heart better than her own husband. And to learn the word from the Master!!!

I chose John. For one thing, to start off your book with the below just goes to show you the intense and immense filling of the Holy Spirit within this follower.

John 1-5
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it

It would be interesting to hear Adam explain what it felt like before and after the fall as well.

Moses... He saw God, he talked to Him face to face, He did all these wonderes... But he was also one of the most gentil men in history. He was with Jesus on the mounatian, along with Elijah... He's a great man to learn from...

Be amazing to talk to any of these people.

John and Jesus spent time together.

The book of John, that is the book i ask my non christain friends to read.

One day we will be able to talk to these people :-)

Paul to gain more insight on some doctrines but also Peter to high five my soul brother!

Now from a "secular" level I would love to go back to 1952 and be about 35 or 1862 and be about 20 years old. I would be in high cotton in 1952 as most Baptists preached what I believe and I would be a fulltime pastor. In 1862, I could ride with Lee and Jackson and then be a frontier parson if I survived.

I'd like to speak with John. His Gospel is such a tool (who doesn't know John 3:16??). His Epistles are loved-based and of course who doesn;t have questions on Revelations.

I would speak to Paul because of his great knowledge and love for God. All of his books in the Bible are extremely interesting to read and filled with great knowledge.
