Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I have the most wonderful praise report!! For the last couple of years I have been fighting with the Texas Criminal Justice System to allow my children to be able to confront the man who sodimized them. The door has been closed to us from the get go. After years of calling our state representatives, I have found out that the TCJS changed the law themselves and not allowed it to include minors. Well, today I spoke with our representatives again, as I have done on a regular basis since this all started, and the man who initially wrote the law concerning victims being able to confront their offenders, said that the law the way it was written was Never intended to exclude minors, ever!! My state rep. said that as far as she knew I was the only one that has ever challanged the TCJS and that this was a first.
This is an incredible president! The impact of allowing minors to have closure with their offenders will have an impact that will be felt in the nation as a whole! Even though we have to wait for the TCJS to receive the letter of intent from the man who wrote the law, we are only a short time away from my children being able to have the closure they should have had all along!
Praise be to God!! This has been a long and bloody fight for the rights of the children, but all of the tears, and suffering are now bearing fruit that will help minor children in my state of Texas forever! Also, they are checking to see if they can rename the bill that allows children to have closure with their offenders and name it after my children! This will be a legacy that they will leave for all abused children in the state of Texas and maybe the whole nation when this bill needs to be sited again!
I am so filled with joy and excitement I can hardly contain myself! What an incredible victory!!!!
I just had to write and let everyone know how the Lord is moving this great mountain for the needs of these children!
