Hi everbody:
I thought that the best way to introduce myself was to give a testimony about my walk with the Lord. I came to faith in Jesus Christ as my savior in 1974 through participation in a campus Crusade bible study on the wayne State Colege campus. I had originally come to the study to argue with "these religious fanatics." At the time I was was an avowed atheist. But when the study that night started they were studying how bible prophecy had been fulfulled in the first advent ofChrist. As I was listening, the Lord showed me that what they were talking about could not have been fulfilled by mere chance. Then I began to reason with my self that if all of those prophecies had been fulfilled in Christ, then It was reasonable to believe that the bible was true. I knew right then I was asinner that needed to be saved. After the study I talked to the friend that had invited my wife and me about what I needed to do andhe lead me to Faith In Jesus Christ as my saviour.
I have certainly been glad that I did with what has happened to me in the last 10 years. I contracted an eye disease that caused me to become legally blind. In 2001 at the age of 53 I suvived a stroke that left me with left side paralysis and unable to speak. I would hate to think of the despair and fear I would have endured rithout the lord to sustain me. I am completely convinced that the only reason I am here is because of answered prayer of my family and church.
