Is Anime/Manga Okay?

I'm getting into anime/manga, I'm curious to know what other people think about it.
It's "appropriateness" varies from series to series, so just tell me your overall thoughts on it.

Some series are steeped in magic, demons, divination etc
There is violence and sexual explicitness in many series

Even the compelling, gentler series are built around the Japanese shinto and buddhist belief systems

The addiction and pull of anime and magna can draw Christian believers into a world of very anti Christian fantasy.

Is all this glorifying to our dear Lord?

Anime is simply cartoons, with the characters drawn a certain way, big eyes, etc. That being said, most anime is about violence and temptation of sex with sexual organs like breasts 2 to 3 times normal size. Why don't you describe what happens in the last show you watched. If its like most anime, its probably not good for you.
