Is God All-Loving? - January 28, 2006

Some people believe that God loves and forgives everyone. However, is this true?

In the Bible we are told, "Behold, I am coming soon, bringing My recompense, to repay every one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." (Revelation 22:12)
The above verse clearly reveals that man will not only be eventually judged by God, but this judgment will be based upon the life man has lived.

Robert was a convicted pedophile and murderer who sat on death row in one of the nation's toughest prisons. He was tough, unrepentant, and, showed no indication of remorse, even after ten years. "If given the opportunity, I'd do it all over again!" he snarled. "There is no God, and if there is, He sure ain't no friend of mine," he continued.

Those who adhere to this false belief that God is all-loving and therefore will judge no one, may insist Robert will be spiritually rewarded with eternal life, regardless.

The truth of the matter is that God loves everyone who obeys Him, and He forgives those who repent of their sinful and evil ways. In the above purely fictional story, Robert had no relationship with God, had no desire to please the Lord or to do what is good in His sight. He was totally unrepentant.
God's love and forgiveness are not unconditional.

"See, I have set before you this day life and good, death and evil. If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you this day, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in His ways, and by keeping His Commandments and His statutes and His ordinances, then you shall live and multiply, and The Lord your God will bless you in the land which you are entering to take possession of it. But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you this day, that you shall perish." (Deuteronomy 30:15-19)

God desires our worship because He is worthy of it. He loves us and wants us to love Him in return, but sadly, not everyone chooses to. Those who love God enough to allow their lives to reflect what is in their Hearts will be rewarded with eternal life, and those who hate God and His good ways will be eternally condemned to Hell.

Heb 12:25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

For our God is a consuming fire.

Is God all loving ? I think I remember a scripture in Malachi that says ...I [GOD] Hate Divorce ! Divorce is more rampant in so called Churches than in the World . Thats O.K. Though . Just as long as they keep bringing in the money . :omg: MikeT4G

There is no love like the love of Jesus, never to fade or fall. Till into the fold of the peace of God He has gathered us all. There is no eye like the eye of Jesus, piercing so far away. Ne'er out of the sight of its tender light can the wanderer stray. There is no voice like the voice of Jesus, tender and sweet its chime. Like the musical ring of a flowing spring in the bright summer time. There is no heart like the heart of Jesus, filled with a tender love. No throb nor throe that our hearts can know, but He feels it above.
Jesus love, precios love, boundless and pure and free. Oh turn to that love weary wandering soul, Jesus pleadeth with thee.

"herein is LOve. Not that we loved God, but that he loved us. And sent His son to be the sacrifice for our sins". 1John 4:10

"what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Jesus
