Those of us who have obtained the Holy Ghost from the Lord according to his choice, can HEAR him. This sounds crazy and in the general public they would call this schizophrenia. However; what we hear from the Lord is mainly for information or it can be to tell someone else whatever he wishes us to tell them as a Prophet would do.
As far as proof is concerned there is no way of proving Gods existence, because the relationship with the Son and the Father is appropriated through FAITH. This FAITH is also a gift from him and is necessary for you to even believe in what the world would consider impossible. In short God hides himself from man, then reveals himself to us individually at he chooses. Even the Bible will say that because of knowledge they knew not God. This was his doing. Complicate the world to give those he did not choose just yet something to do to occupy their lives. Sounds mean but it's just the wisdom of God that you will one day understand. I'm assuming that you do not? If it was a rhetorical question then my bad.
I would offer this as a scientist of sorts. The more you know, the more you know just how ignorant you are, no matter what the subject. Now when it comes to science the smarter you become and realize just how much more there is to know you eventually come to a rather unique conclusion. That is that the world is so complicated within biology, virology, genetics, the body itself (especially the brain) that it is impossible for it to have happened randomly, no matter how many millions of years have passed. In a sense there are fields of study that will lead you into the understanding that nothing would exist if it were not maintained by laws, that man would say are natural, but indeed are truly the laws of God for the physical world we live in. The things that man discovers are actually just the way God has set up the physical world.
