The entire Bible / God's Word / is inspired and Should be read. There Are parts that 'we' won't understand all of, but we should still make the effort to read all of it.

Ok good thank you!

Hi there! Others don't agree with me here too much...but Paul says that ALL Scripture (2Ti.3:16) should correct and train your behavior.
All means all!
So yes, we need to learn to integrate ALL the Bible into our viewpoint.

Have you ever been in love? When you received your first love letter did you ever ask someone if you should read it halfway?

The whole bible is God's word to us. We should want to know it all.

Very true! Jesus says we LIVE by EVERY WORD from God's mouth (Mt.4:4).

And the Torah of Moses is from God's mouth to us (Dt.1:3;5:27-33;etc...)

The new testament is nothing but letters from the disciples.
The old testament is what you need to know.
It contains all of God's laws.
Remember: there was no new testament at the time of jesus or paul, just the Hebrew scriptures, which they taught from!

Brother Frank,I would recommend getting a real good foundation upon the covenant you are now in,before looking at why there was a need for a new covenant to begin with.( Gal 5:4) When Jesus brought forth a NEW commandment( John 13:34-35) this covers all the rest of any law to those!!!! Who believe!!!!( Rom 10:4)

I once lived in California, and moved to Michigan, would I look to follow in California laws in Michigan??? Or rather deal with what I have at present? Same here bro. Salvation is won by believing in the one who gave us this! It was not the law.( Rom 3:20) For the law was brought forth to increase sin!!!!( Rom 5:20) In Christ Jesus there is ( Rom 15:13). The law could not deliver this precious deliverance!( Heb 8:6-13!!)

There are some bible verses that one should look at and it is important to remember that at the time of Jesus there was only the Old Testament ... The law of Moses, prophets and the Psalms all of which speak of Jesus Christ. Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Luk 24:45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,. The New testament was not written when Jesus said these words to them so they could only be from the Old Testament. Additionally, we see in scripture mention of a two edged sword - both New and Old Testaments ... Rev_1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.Rev_2:12 And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; The sword is a metaphor for the Word of God. So, for example, in Genesis 3:24 we see the Cherubims and the flaming sword it points to the fact that no one can enter back into the Garden of Eden (a picture of the church with Christ as the head) and have fellowship with God and His Son unless they come through the Word of God, the Gospel of peace goes out into all the world and draws men and women back to God through the Son. Hence in Genesis 1-2 we see the Tree of Life, the fruit bearing trees and the trees that are good to the sight symbolising those in Christ, who is the Head of the Church (not the Pope), and the river going out from the Garden of Eden breaking into four and flowing into the seas. Seas are a metaphor for the nations, therefore, every church should be missions orientated sharing the truth from both the New and Old Testaments. We see this river again in Revelation 22:1-5 flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb. The law is only a shadow of the real thing, so in the Old Testament we see shadows of Christ who would come at the God appointed time (Heb 10:1-12). The Old Testament sacrifices, which point to the coming Messiah, could not take away our sin so therefore they were a shadow of the real one to come. Galatians 3:24 says that the law is a school master to point us to Christ that we may be justified by faith. One cannot eat fruit from a shadow but the shadow points to the real Tree of Life from which we should eat and bear fruit. There is the saying "the Old is the New concealed and the New is the Old revealed". Where did the Apostles and even Jesus get their references from, from the Old Testament and we see the gospels and the epistles of the New testament revealing what the Old Testament had concealed. Further more, one should share the gospel with the unsaved by showing them in the Old Testament the truth of the coming Messiah and show them then where it is fulfilled in the New Testament. There are so many pictures and metaphors in the Old Testament that point to the Messiah that cannot be expressed in a short teaching like this. The Word of God is wonderful, treasure it in your heart because it always points to the Bridegroom who is coming for His Bride. We wait with longing to be with Him eternally, but right now share the Word so God so God can draw sinners to repentance and ultimately eternal life. There is no library like it ... it contains a whole lot of books that lead us to Him.

True! Jesus requires ALL Torah (Mt.5:19).
Paul requires ALL Torah (2Ti.3:16).
Great point!

" the covenant you are now in"
The NEW Covenant is given as TORAH (Jer.31:33). So Frank is correct to require that we obey the written Torah of Moses.
After all, Jesus requires ALL Torah (Mt.5:19) for ALL disciples of ALL nations (Mt.28:19-20).

"would I look to follow in California laws in Michigan??? "
You are now ISRAELITE (Heb.8:8). Israelites obey TORAH (Mal.4:4).
You are NOT excluded from Israel (Eph.2:12) or from the covenants (Eph.2:12) which, of course, are given as TORAH (e.g., Jer.31:33).

"For the law was brought forth to increase sin!!!!"
Sure, for those who DISOBEY.
But we OBEY Torah (Mt.5:19) to be great in the forthcoming kingdom.
We OBEY Torah to be holy (Peter applies Lev. 11 to you, 1Pe.1:16).
We OBEY Torah because it is good (Rom.7:12).
We OBEY Torah because it is holy (Rom.7:12).
We OBEY Torah because it is righteous (Rom.7:12), and we must DO righteousness (1Jn.2:29;3:7) or else we are a child of the devil (1Jn.3:10) who will NOT inherit the forthcoming kingdom (Mt.5:20).
We OBEY Torah because it is spiritual (Rom.7:14), and we SHOULD be spiritual.
We OBEY Torah, because Torah defines sin (Rom.3:20;7:7;1Jn.3:4), and we should STOP SINNING (1Cor.15:34).
We OBEY Torah, because the New Covenant is given as Torah (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10).
We OBEY Torah, because Torah-disobedience is of the FLESH (Rom.8:7), and we should NOT be in the flesh (Rom.8:13).

"The law could not deliver this precious deliverance!( Heb 8:6-13!!)"
You just quoted Heb. 8:10 which declares the New Covenant is given as Torah!
Sure, the Old Covenant passes away (Heb.8:13).
But the SAME TORAH passes into the NEW Covenant (Heb.8:10;Jer.31:33), or else Jeremiah is a false prophet (Dt.13:1-5)....and I don't think you want to go there...
