Is there a prophet in here?

This may not be the appropriate section. I'm aware this section is only for requested prayers but in my case I'd just like to know if there is a prophet whom I may talk.

I'm experiencing a hard but still normal time. I mean I know life itself is plenty of ups and downs and I know that sometimes bad times can help us (this is my personal humanistic point of view).
I won't waste your time by telling all the details, yet I feel kind of lost.
Long time ago I was given a beautiful prophecy. Nothing happened, not yet.
I've always thought that it is kind of impossible for God to know every single one of us and therefore satisfy us.
I'm starting to think that maybe I'm kind of right and God is not really into me. I've always had doubts about "a relationship with God", considering that I believe that a personal God is kind of impossible.

Despite all that, I'd love to know if God has still got a purpose and if the prophecy is still on.
Otherwise, I'd better keep studying so that I get a job and leave it all behind like I'm doing.

Let me tell you the facts from the Word of God: God is omniscient omnipresent. He knows every thought and every action. Nothing escapes his sight. He knows everything that we would do before He even created us. Our feelings are just that, feelings. Feelings are not facts. They are motivated by circumstances more often then actuality.

If you want to know what God really thinks and who He really is, read the Bible. There's no better way to find out then his word.

Don't go searching for prophets. If God wanted to send you a prophecy he will do that without you needing to search for one.

God is into you!

It seems that you are toying with doubt and unbelief. If there has been a bona fide prophecy spoken over you, let it sit, and seek to live for Him, and it will come to pass. You can prevent it, you know, and the surest way to do that is to entertain unbelief.

God has a purpose for every single one of us!

Jeremiah 29:11 says so.
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

I've always been curious why it must be all or nothing in our decision making instead of leaving it in God's hands to decide? As if we're the ones who determine what resources are necessary for getting the task done. Are we are the purveyors of what, when, who, or even why a calling occurs?

If you've studied scripture every believer has a purpose, a calling and tasks to do. Some are specific as stated in Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

Even still not yet being aware of what our calling maybe, we are still ambassadors for Christ Jesus and citizens of the Kingdom of God! Walk rightly, speak rightly, comport yourself as a Child of the Most High. He who is in you will guide your steps.

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
Philippians 3:20

Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, Ephesians 2:19

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore [you] on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20

With all that being said. If you were prophesized over by a Prophet and there was a timeline attached and it did not happen. Then you know this person was not from God. If there was no timeline attached to it then know that only God knows the steps that you must first follow before what was prophesized over you about you will happen. If this is then the case. Why the impatience? Know that if this is true and from God. It will happen and rejoice that He has chosen you for whatever words were spoken of that would be fulfilled through you!

I hope this may help you some, if even if it is not the words from a Prophet of the Most High, but only from a Child of God.
So stay faithful and continue to walk in His ways.

I can understand your interest to an extent TheUnknown. God is so above us yet in us. The thought, idea or notion can't be described with human words no matter how wide the vocabulary or education. I have read before that trying to understand God would be like trying to explain the internet to an ant. Since reading that I have left wondering about trying to figure God out totally. I ALWAYS wondered what MY purpose was, I would constantly think about what job I had. Thoughts, wonders consumed my days, weeks & months until one day out of the blue as I was driving I heard as plain as day "What would you do with the answer if you did get it?" Just then I thought... "Nothing" ... I would just do nothing at all with the information in all honesty. What I once spent a huge part of my days wondering about I no longer indulge in any more. I just know now that he is God & I am his.

I've learned a lot the day he spoke to me - I learned that I don't need an answer to all my questions. I don't have to waste time wondering about things that he's in control of. All I need to do is do the best I can at being the Forgiven Christian that I am by showing others that God isn't the bad guy. He's NOT what Satan & his minions try to make him out to be. I do this by my actions, voice & lifestyle.

I will add that when God spoke to me it was so clean & peaceful. I wasn't "hearing voices" I didn't think I was losing it I automatically KNEW it was God himself. He gave me such comfort & assurance & I will admit I felt a bit spoiled & still do.

God isn't EVER "too busy" for ANY of us. He's nothing like that single mother with 9 kids running through the house like wild animals in a house of total disarray. God is a One on One God when it comes to us. Don't try to understand him or figure him out you'll make your own self go crazy. I mean, think about it... God spread the Red Sea, walked on water, flooded the entire earth, made the blind see, rose people from the dead AND created people so don't ever think you're not on is mind all the time. He's so personal that he himself has told us that he knows the individual strands of hair that each one of us has on our heads Luke 12:7

He's a personal God. Always has been & always will be.

The prophecy is your to interpret, you don't need to find a prophet. Here is a author of a book that can help you, Seeing The Voice Of God and The 30 Day Faith Detox By Laura Harris Smith, Links: home or Laura Harris Smith But let me tell you a little what a prophet is, That is the your Brothers and Sisters in Christ, when we are talking about the word of God or the Pastor delivering the sermon and the Holy Spirit falls on you and motivates you to Change for the better and deepens your Faith in God. If the prophecy come's true or not, is all in the action leading up to it. What one will do or not do, is still up to the individuals involved and the belief if the good will happen or the belief to stop something Bad that will happen. Read the Book to find out more.

If you want to know what God really thinks and who He really is, read the Bible. There's no better way to find out then his word.

So true Chad, But a Good Christian Church with Bible Study's will help for understanding the Word of God in context to the Scriptures given. God's Word will NEVER contradict it's self if you truly follow the instructions given by God.

Yes, in my Church we have prophets... people who are able to speak spiritual revelations given through the Holy Spirit at our meetings.
This is done in accordance with the due process outlined in 1Corinthians 14: where Paul lays out how a church meeting should be conducted.
The Revival Fellowship - Pentecostal in accordance with Acts and the Epistles. That's my place, my patch of the vineyard, my brothers and sisters.

How is it then, brethren? When you come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a revelation, hath a tongue,
hath an interpretation: let all things be done to edification.

Every Sunday (and other Assembly meetings) we as Spirit-filled Christians enjoy the voice gifts as described and mandated in 1Corinthians 14,
with two to three [no more] people will by the Holy Spirit speak out on matters of concern for the saints and for the Church in our times.
Lately, the Lord is speaking much on what is happening in the world and for our need to stay the course and keep the faith.
Great and terrible tribulation is coming upon the nations, and Christians will not be spared except through faith and obedience.

So have you thought for a moment that you may be the reason why you are not getting results?
I mean you are doubtful and a skeptic that God is real.
