Hello again,
I have been held up at the end of Isaiah, so have not yet continued on to
Ezekiel,
Jeremiah,
Matthew and
John. Although I read Ezekiel at the beginning of our journey, I will do so again, as you have suggested,
@PloughBoy; for you obviously feel that the order of reading is important.
'Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;
thy walls are continually before Me,
Thy children shall make haste;
thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee.
Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold:
all these gather themselves together, and come to thee.
As I live, saith the LORD,
thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all,
as with an ornament, and bind them on thee,
as a bride doeth.'
(Isaiah 49:16-18)
'For as a young man marrieth a virgin,
so shall thy sons marry thee:
and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride,
so shall thy God rejoice over thee.'
(Isaiah 62:5)
Compare:-
'And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;
and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem,
coming down from God out of heaven,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.'
(Revelation 21:1-2)
Thank you.
