I was having one of those days where someone asks me to explain the Holy Trinity. I have heard so many things about one God that is three divine beings. And then there was the question of who was more powerful. And the question of which part of the Godhead is in charge. There were so many questions and so many different answers. So I asked God to explain to me about Him and how Jesus and the Holy Spirit fit in to the Godhead.
This was the answer that I got from God:
If you have before you one large cotton ball consider this… The Godhead, Trinity, Three in One etc is one entity. Man was made in God’s likeness. Therefore each person either man or woman is put together in three parts, spirit, flesh and mind. The mind controls the body’s movements and our spirit directs us into the paths we should go and utilizes wisdom to help us on the way.
God created the world and man. He walked with man in the garden. God is able to manifest himself any way he wishes… He makes a hand appear on a wall, a donkey speaks out; a bush burns brightly but is not consumed, a cloud and or a pillar of fire. God led his people by his spirit.
Take a piece of the cotton ball and place it on the left. Now it is still the same cotton ball. But that piece was made to be the Spirit and appeared on earth before Jesus came. God felt a need to put into place a way to redeem his people and bring them to him. Jesus was brought into the picture.
Take another piece of the main cotton ball and place it on the right of the first one. We now have three distinct pieces of cotton ball that are from the same piece. God manifested his divine being into three parts. Once Jesus came and returned to the Father the Holy Spirit returned to us and will be with us until Jesus’ return.
We have three beings that make us up. We may not be able to separate them as God does but we are able to use each one individually. When our spirit, body or mind has input into our being it affects every part of us. Thus we are one being Think about it!
So the best way that I can explain the Holy Trinity and/or the Godhead is that God is like one large cotton ball and can take any part of himself at anytime and move it into place as He sees fit and can put it back into Himself as He desires. \
I hope that this way of understanding may have been some help to you. I am not one to argue about semantics and or doctrine and I always ask God to help me understand things in a way that will make it real to me…
