Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died." The women fled from the tomb, trembling and bewildered, and they said nothing to anyone because they were too frightened. Although the women were terrified at the sight of the angel, they received a message of good news and comfort: Jesus was alive and would be going ahead of them. The next step wasn’t up to them. They only had to find Jesus.
For the challenging and discouraging moments of your life, it’s understandable that you may grow fearful and uncertain about the next step. Perhaps you may even know what you should do, but following through leaves you weak in the knees.
Imagine for a moment that Jesus is already ahead of you on the road that stretches before you. If you can focus on Jesus, then the details will fall into place. It may not end up the way you expect or even desire, but you will find peace and security if you stay close to Jesus. He’s ahead of you and will show you the way.
Prayer: Jesus, I trust that You know what is best for me and how I can best serve others. Guide me and give me strength to take the right steps forward today.
