It has been awhile, but I am back on focus to the Lord. You see I've been praying for a mate, but after getting no response for my prayers---I started slipping back into my old self. Now glory to the Lord I'm focused back on the Lord.

I have two close male friends - both in their forties - whose situations seem similar to yours; one is a life long bachelor and the other has been divorced for 10+ years. Both prayed for several years for the right girl to come along. It would appear that the right girl has come into both of their lives. One is getting married in August and the other appears to be in a serious relationship. The answer for both of these men was "Have patience, your answer is on the way."

I agree with brother SLE. @stepinfaith The Lord has heard every prayer. He is not inactive. Keep trusting brother. I'm in the same boat myself. Waiting on Him.

I would urge you to stop speaking the guilt-ridden language of religionese; guilt doesn't heal, it's hope that heals, hope that grows out of relationship with the living God.

• If you are truly a "Born-Again" you have been healed from the consequence of sin, Romans 8:1 .
• Backsliding into any sin, is not that uncommon and we are continually washed by Christ's blood: Isaiah 41:10 and Matthews 28:20
• As a believer, you salvation is not predicated on you leading a perfect life but having a regenerated and repentent heart ( Christ in you).
• Your admitting your problem is the first step to being cured and proof of your salvation, be consistent and paitent!
• Stay in the word, stay focused and continue to go to God in prayer with your sins and remember that, being repentent and struggling means your a child of God.....being non-repentent and not struggling does not.
