Just wanted to praise the Lord today. I see so many things as I walk through the day that the Lord has done and is constantly doing.
My attention was drawn to the past, but it is no different now. When we walk with the Lord, He is so good, so kind and very present with us.
He is the same yesterday, today and forever. And it is the same with our walk. He was present in the past and is present now and I have
many promises in the Bible that He will never leave us or forsake us.
I think back to a time with my children, since I have been so enjoying writing up quick microwave recipes. When the kids were little we always
had what we needed, though we were poor. I want to share two times, since they came to me today and again just now.
One was when once we didn't have any dinner. The Lord had given faith as I knew we walked with Him, ...there was an assurance of that
in our lives. Because of Him, nothing of us, but because of His kindness, His love, His presence. So there was no dinner to serve the kids.
I ask them to set the table and told them that the Bible said we would not be without. They sat the table and we thanked the Lord and prayed and
in a bit the phone rang and a lady next door who didn't know our circumstances said she'd over cooked and couldn't fit it all in her freezer and could
I send one of the kids to pick up some food. They came back with homemade soup, delicious, and homemade bread. So wonderful!!! I couldn't cook that good.
I think I may have already shared this, but it came to mind again as I was making soup today. I was so thankful for the Lord showing my small children a miracle
of His keeping and care. We have seen Him now so many times, but this was a very wonderful time, as each time is. I thank Him.
The other story that came to mind, and I may have shared it to, but it came to mind today with the Christmas season approaching.
We didn't have any money for Christmas for our children to speak of. We went shopping with my brother and his girlfriend at Christmas and had so little
we ran out directly. I never felt anger at that time after receiving the Lord into my life. It was not normal. But I looked at everyone shopping and an anger
came up in me and I said, how is it, that those who don't serve the Lord have Christmas for their children and those who do, don't?
I heard this spoken to me, ...go home and get your money.
I told my husband the Lord said, go home and get your money. The hardest thing about saying this was that my brother and his girlfriend were not believer's and
it was difficult, but I said it, knowing it was so, and we both left saying the Lord had said to go home and get our money.
On the way home, since we were so poor, five dollars was a lot of money. Ten was a lot. Twenty was a lot and fifty was about as high as we could imagine. It was so much to us.
We said, what if it is.....ten, twenty, what if it is fifty! The almost impossible thought of that time!
We went home and on the porch was an envelope. It said, from Jesus. And inside was fifty dollars.
It was so windy in the area we lived in it was a miracle the card was on the porch.
That Christmas was so lovely. I also knew I never had to worry about my kids and holidays and such when we served and walked with the Lord.
Everything came that made a most lovely Christmas for them. I didn't tell people the things that we needed or such, but on our door step was
everything I ever could have thought of for a lovely beautiful Christmas for my children.
I knew I'd never have to concern for any holiday for them.
At Easter a lady came to our door with Easter candy. She said, the Lord told me to get this for your kids, but He didn't tell me to get the baskets.
I had never kept baskets, but that year, I did. So I had them already. I praise and thank the Lord for the memories of His love and care for the children.
He so loves all of us. His care is so wonderful. I thank the Lord. I so feel His care today. He is truly a banner of love and His care overwhelms me.
Wonderful Lord!
