The soul is you...who you are minus a body. The soul is influenced by the sinful flesh if not in-dwelt with God's Holy Spirit. Then we must choose to be obedient to the Spirit, the new nature, within us and not cave to the sin nature.

Church dogma? Church doesn't dictate what a soul is. You have a soul whether it's Okayed by your church or not.

I thought you accepted the Bibles saying Adam BECAME a living soul!
God's Power (spirit)+ his flesh made it a LIVING soul!
