Well ladies ... I am HisSummerRose { real name - KAREN } and I wanted to tell you all that I am 55 years old and have been married for 34 years this year to a wonderful man & we have 3 Adult Children that we are very proud of { read below } and so I wanted to offer my advice or try to help those ladies that are young and just starting out w/ married life or you just need someone to talk with ... I want to be there for you !! So, feel free to leave something here and when I do come in I will be checking & then I can get back with you. Feel free to add me to as a friend then I can be more personal when I share ... so till then have a blessed week ahead and I shall see you all soon again !!
Something about my children ...
# 1 - This is my oldest son ... He is 30 years old and is married for almost 4 years in August this year. Sure in the beginning I did not see eye to eye w/ my daughter in law but what can I do ... it was my son's choice to marry her. My son is a very hard worker { I guess he got that gene from his dad } and so he is also a graduate from Kent State University here in Ohio and so we are very proud of him.
# 2 - This is my other son ... He is 28 years old and he is single & has a pet cat. He too is a hard worker and has made us very proud. When he was in High School he - was on the HONOR ROLL every year and then when it came time for his SENIOR YEAR of HIGH SCHOOL he was #1 in his small class of 4 yes I said 4 and he made us ah very proud. During his time in college ... he was on the DEAN'S LIST / PRESIDENT LIST every year and so that made us very proud of him !!
# 3 - My daughter ... She is 23 years old. What can I say about her. Well, she is a very special young lady and has a lot going for her. Sure she only went to college for 2 years but then left due to NO MONEY coming in so she then started working and kept a few jobs and did well with them. But right now she is looking for a GOOD JOB that PAYS so that she can get some of her BILLS caught up. She has also gone through a lot over the last few years. While in HS she never went out w/ anyone or did anyone ever take notice of her ... till she got into college she was online and met someone overseas { the Netherlands } and well they started talking and before long it became hard for both of them to keep things going so ... they were close to hitting 6 months and well HE BROKE IT OFF and she was left heartbroken. Them she was on FB and was talking to a good friend & she introduced a friend to her via online again so they started talking and chatting ... thank goodness this guy was in the USA and so he was close by so ... they were able to go on dates ... but soon things starting falling apart with him ... and he like the other jerk ... broke it of 2 weeks shy of 6 months ... but the worst part was he had to call her on the phone to break it off instead of doing it in person. With this break up it was really hard on her and she just kept to herself. UNTIL ... FCN came into the picture. He was a southern gentleman & has a big heart. And so all I can say is that they have been together for almost 3 years in August this year. Sure they have had a rough time over that 3 years but what relationship does not have struggles. But ... what relationships don't have there struggles ... So, each day that passes I say special prayers for them to have a good day ... and that someone will HIRE THEM on and they can start working again so please keep them in prayer. In January 2011 was special time { you can see that in my pictures } he asked her to marry him and she said YES and so if your going to ask when is the wedding ... All I can say is ... August 30 - 20 ?? So, we will just have to wait and see what happens.
PHEW ... are you all still with me ? Well remember what I said at the beginning of this I want to be there for you ... If you need to VENT for any reason come and share and I will see what I can do to help out !!
I will share more about my marriage and how I have lasted 34 years next time so stay tune !!
