We wait for the LORD; he is our help and shield. For our hearts rejoice in him because we trust in his holy name. Psalm 33:20-21 CSB
The more you know about God, the more you can feel encouraged. The more you feel encouraged, the more you’ll trust Him. The more you trust Him, the more impressive your story becomes. And it is that story that can encourage others to follow your example.
There’s a sigh of relief waiting for those willing to get to know God. He cares deeply for you, and His rescue plan waits for you to notice, recognize your need, and then accept His offer. Not everyone will. Not everyone has.
You can discover the motivation you need to move in God’s direction. That happens when you recognize Him for who He is and then agree to make your life an example of a man who follows God. This isn’t a supplemental life assurance policy. It’s not a “just in case” way of thinking. It is the only way to discover freedom from a broken past and the freedom to follow a better plan.
Be patient. Help is on the way. Protection is yours. Rejoice and trust in God. Take heart. That’s an impressive list of takeaways from Psalm 33.
Prayer: There’s nothing about You that I should be suspicious of, Father. Help me trust You enough that I’ll see following You as my only option.
