logical or illogical?

Do you believe that Christianity is logical or illogical?
I was wondering because some might say that it can be considered illogical, but to me every part of it seems so logical.
So do only the followers of Christ find the Bible logical and those who are not saved consider the Word illogical?
i think it the Bible is very logical but i was just wondering , why does it seem like a lot of peoplethink that the Bible is beyond logic.

Unless a person is born again , they cannot see the kingdom of GOD . However , when we are born of GOD we must renew our minds with the word of GOD . I f any person lacks understanding , let them ask and the father will give it to them . BIG-BROTHER

Our Gospel is ultimately Logical but to the logic of the Worldly it is illogical.

1 Corinthians 1
20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.

Without the Holy Spirit reveling truths one can never get a clear view of the truth.

I sometimes participate in a community forum where all kinds of people religous and not post their opinions. I must say that whether christianity is logical or illogical really depends on whose logic you are talking about. I think it is very logical... there are some parts of it that I accept even though I don't understand them... like how God created the universe, like the resurrection, and the birth of Christ and how He became a man. I don't understand the how and when He will return. I don't understand everything about God. But once I accept these then the rest all fits together very logically. To me it all starts with the recognition that there is something more than me... that something is God.

On the other hand those who reject God and Christ or believe in the evolution explanation for the origins of the universe. Those who see nothing beyond themselves and do not believe in the supernatural... or who see science as the explanation everything...

Those people think christianity is illogical. I've had long discussions with some of them on that other forum. Some even think I'm a wacko. Since they don't understand they reject the Bible as myth. So I guess if you start with Faith in God (something more than you .... the supernatural), the rest of it fits logically... For those who don't believe it doesn't make sense. I believe it was Paul who said something about the mystery of the Gospel confounding the wise.

Like pappa said, it depends on what premises you start with. Start with the premise that God exists, and Genesis makes a lot of sense taken literally, start with the premise that "God" is a fabrication of the human mind, and Genesis needs a whole new explanation to make it make sense.

There was a sermon last Easter Sunday about logic titled "sense and non-sense". It was a bit of a leap to have "He is not here" logically followed by "He is risen". It would make more sense to say, "He is someplace else" or "He was never here in the first place." But to someone who believes in the ressurection it does make sense (Even if some of the steps have to be inferred).

So it all depends on your premises (some people will call this the Holy Spirit/God's grace/whether or not you are saved).

Before we even know the Truth, we're blinded by darkness...

But when we step into the light and are exposed of all of our sins, and are born again, we can see. That's when everything about the word becomes so logical. It's like being trapped inside of a dome. Those who are outside have enough distance to understand logic in Christianity, yet as long as we live on Earth...we will NEVER know God's mind or be able to interpret his word in its entirety. Those who are still trapped inside of the dome are still wandering around like aimless ants, trying to find the truth but seeking in the wrong places. Everything is illogical to them because they do not seek the true source which is God. The ones who are outside are the ones trying to show them the truth that has been revealed to them. Inside of the dome, there is no light but outside of the dome, there is light. It only becomes more logical when the person is outside of the dome and no longer entrapped by the slavery of darkness. Freedom in Christ. Freedom is wider than the world that we live in. It's a short time lived but eternity is forever.

What's funny is that, the Bible speaks about the very people who practice what the Bible says is wrong, yet those people never take the time to read what the Bible says. It's like a person refusing to look into the mirror to see what they look like when their appearance has already been decided.

By the way, refering to the subject,I descovered something... Usually, people try to find God by rational/logical way. But the problem is that faith is above the logic!!
