Love can be a treasure.
It can be a pearl or a rose.
Love can be anything you make it.
It can be a smile or a hug.
Love can be a look.
It can be a three-word whisper or just a touch.
Love can be a feeling.
It can flow through you like a mighty river.
Love can be a single raindrop on a windowpane.
It can be a beautiful rainbow.
Love can be a shadow that looms over you.
It can engulf your whole being.
Love can be a baby's cry or a mother's tears.
It can soothe or make you warm and glow.
Love can be a man dying on a cross.
It can be God's unconditional love.
Whatever love is to you, share
it with that special someone today.
I wrote this poem for my high school newspaper for Valentine's Day that was over 4 years ago!!
