Just a thought, Being as we are in the last days and our brothers and sisters are being persecuted, often unto death, throughout the world, and this instigated by our enemy the devil. does it seem appropriate to be at each others throats to prove, whether or not we are more knowledgeable than others in Talk Jesus. none of us really know one another, how strong or how vulnerable we are or who among us are being attacked by the enemy. How does one think it would be if a brother is under extreme attack and then, rather than receive encouragement from his brothers in Christ, actually receives derision over some scripture, the knowledge of which would not affect salvation in the least but may well, if used to belittle, cause untold damage to a vulnerable soul. There are kind ways of imparting understanding, ways that lift and encourage and if we move in love those ways will come to the fore.
My salvation had nothing to do with my worthiness, I am a sinner and the wages of sin is death. But Jesus, in his mercy, saved me and one of the first scriptures I was led to was Psalm 111-10 "The fear of the Lord is the start of wisdom", so I am not about to belittle God's vulnerable children. He's bigger than me.

Greetings Trevor

Just a thought, Being as we are in the last days and our brothers and sisters are being persecuted, often unto death, throughout the world, and this instigated by our enemy the devil. does it seem appropriate to be at each others throats to prove, whether or not we are more knowledgeable than others in Talk Jesus. none of us really know one another, how strong or how vulnerable we are or who among us are being attacked by the enemy. well said [written], thank you

A good reminder that we all need to remember

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
Ephesians 4:15-16

Bless you ....><>

So true brother

Sometimes people forget we are one body in Christ Jesus, living stones of the One True Church, every member part of the one body of saved believers of which Christ is the Head.

Colossians 2:19 (NKJV)
19 and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.

1 Corinthians 12:26-27 (NKJV)
26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
27 Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.

John 13:34-35 (NKJV)
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

If we do not Love our brothers and sisters in Christ who do we love.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13 (NKJV)
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
5 does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
6 does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Jesus says, Love one another as I have loved you.
