Many deceivers

In Revelation 13:11 we see a beast come up out of the earth that had horns like a lamb, but spake as a Dragon. This image is the false prophet image, which represents the spirit of anti-christ, or false prophet spirit, which many have been deceived into believing “it” to be a single man figure yet to come. But all the scriptures concerning the word anti-christ speak of a single lying spirit working in "many" deceivers. In verse 13 and 14 we are told this beast does great wonders and miracles in the sight of men.

So let’s see if Jesus and the apostles confirm this truth about "many" deceivers and "many" false prophets who would rise up in the world, instead of this false notion of a single man figure called “Antichrist” that is yet to come. 2 John 1:7 “For "many" deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”

Notice Jesus also warned of "many" false prophets who would look like a lamb also show great signs and wonders, matching the description and wording found in Revelation 13.

Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

Matthew 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”

Matthew 24:11 “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”

Matthew 24:24 “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Mark 13:6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”

Mark 13:22 “For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.”

Luke 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for "many" shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.”

2 Peter 2:1 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”

1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

In 1 Timothy 4:1 we are told there was to be a falling away from the faith in the last days, with some giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.

Also in Titus 1:10 “For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision:”

So clearly by the testimony of Jesus and the apostles there would arise (like the beast did rise) "many"
deceivers, "many" false teachers, and "many" false prophets speaking by the same spirit of antichrist. (or false prophet spirit)

There needs to be clarification , how to know exactly if it is from God or not.

As an example , there was a false healer that caused a woman in a wheelchair to walk . The woman was known well as someone that had not walked for years . She went to this charlatans revival. Was called upfront , the man laid hands on her and was helped by 2 aids to stand . She made one or two steps on her own. The people went nuts .

She fell down a moment later , and then to the hospital. She will never be able to walk again.

But that overall effect of " God " working though this preacher was spead far and wide after that.

Some of you may remember him , Jim Jones.

So what is the thing that needs to be the stand out proof positive . To know it is God working versus the devil ?

And remember Jesus even stated, others will come and do even greater works that He has done.

So comparing miracles to the scriptures is not enough.

There needs to be a factor , proof positive .

The proof is in their words/ doctrine. Notice, they may look like a lamb, but they will speak as a Dragon.

Revelation 13:11
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

Jesus said His sheep would hear His voice, but another’s voice they would not know or follow.

10 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.”

Jesus goes on to say…..

7 Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.

8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.”

And again Jesus says…..

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:”

So those who are of the Lord’s flock will know if they speak as a Dragon.
