I saw one of MLK Jr.’s granddaughters give a speech.
It reminded me of Christ prophesying that his followers would be persecuted and murdered for taking a stand.
I believe King was a Christian and sincere in what belief and what he was trying to accomplish.
We need more like him, not bias and bigoted, but standing for truth.

.
I believe King was a Christian
MLK Jr was an ordained Baptist minister.

We need more like him
Political activism was his undoing. Had he stuck to serving Christ and the church for
whom Christ died, King might've lived quite a bit longer than 39.

2Tim 2:3-4 . . Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No
one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs-- he wants to please his
commanding officer.

I didn’t say he was smart. Just sincere

I believe that God used Martin Luther King Jr to say that speech that he had "I have a dream".

It was the most beautiful words ever put into a speech

I believe God used James Earl Ray to get MLK Jr out of political activism and thus
prevent the very realistic possibility of another civil war in America: not between
north and south, but between Black and White-- and not localized on the east coast
like before, but involving the whole country coast to coast. That time in my country
was a volatile era in America; our stability as a nation had become fragile due not
only to racial issues, but also Viet Nam.

In old testament times perhaps, but would God call one to commit murder in the age of grace?

It is not God that brings people to commit evil. Evil comes from your own choices

Dr. Ralph David Abernathy is the one who started the civil rights movement. MLKjr became the spokesperson. I don't believe MlKjr was a Christian at all. He was a womanizer/adulterer and the FBI has all the dirt and pictures to prove it. Dr. Abernathy on the other hand was a Christian and the fruit of his life proves it. Dr. Abernathy deserves all the credit, and MLKjr would never been heard of if it wasn't for Dr. Abernathy.

I know all about Martin Luther King Jr. I know the sins that he committed. But that does not mean that God cannot speak through him

Would any Born again from above Christian give a speech, like the "i have a dream" speech and not mention Jesus? MLKjr was an orator. Congress is full of orators and speech makers, but pastors who give speech's give Jesus praise. Without Jesus, nothing exists.

Jesus stated happy are the poor in spirit theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Happy the gentle, they shall have the Earth for their heritage. Happy those who mourn, they shall be comforted. Happy those who hunger and thirst for what is right, they shall be satisfied. Happy the merciful, they shall have mercy shown them. Happy the pure in heart they shall see god.

And Jesus told us this to pray, Our Father who is in heaven holy is your name, your kingdom come your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but Deliver Us from Evil.

Now show me, where does Jesus put his name? Where does he tell people that you have to know who he is when you say it?

We know this comes from God because God is Jesus and Jesus is God. So if Jesus is telling us that is okay to say these things without his name being posted in there, why cannot other things come from God without having the name of Jesus posted in it as well?

In my personal opinion, if you cannot see the spirit of God within the words. Then you need to learn to see God where God is not obvious. You need to learn to recognize god with your heart to discern from your heart using the gifts of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit tests the spirits of those who claim to be Christians. The Apostle Paul said you shall know them by their fruits. The Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, after Christ's ascension. Jesus said He will send the Helper who will guide you in Spirit and truth.

Philippians 1:10-12 - that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, 11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

John 14:16-17 - And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

But it doesn't say that God cannot use a person for God's benefit. Look at Nebuchadnezzar, who God referred to as his sword. And at the time that God used him as his sword he did not know God.

In the Old Testament that's true that God did use men as His instruments.

Jeremiah 25:9 - behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,’ says the Lord, ‘and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land, against its inhabitants, and against these nations all around, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, a hissing, and perpetual desolations.

It wasn't long before Nebuchadnezzar started praising God.

Daniel 4:34 -
And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever:
For His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
And His kingdom is from generation to generation.

Correct Nebuchadnezzar did come to know the Lord before his death.

But I just wanted to point out, that no matter how bad a person really is. How many sins they've had or whatever or how Fallen they are. That God can still use that person for his own goals.

The Old Testament is full of examples like that. Like King Saul. And so many others.

And just because we're living in New Testament times does not mean that God can't still do things the way he wants
