Mixed Relationships

I am an African woman and and on several occassions i have had visions of me marrying a man from another race.I am currently very single and definately being searched for!!!!ha ha .Whenever i try and mention anything concerning mixed relationships some of my friends start getting all negative with me.What should i do about it?For me i think if the guy is saved and practising christianity then its okey.Is there someone on this site currently in such a relationship?? and how are they dealing with such pressure if any??

This is really a "colorful" thread. It would be interesting to see how other's respond. Especially from your own country. I don't know that it would be as valuable to hear from those in other countries, especially the USA. What works in one culture, may not work in ones own culture the same way.

Needless to say, mixed relationships in the USA hardly raise anyone's eyebrows anymore, not as it did even a decade ago. My thoughts are that they are generally accepted here now.

It would be helpful to us if you could expound on what your friends are concerned about. It seems like you have the right attitude towards this subject, and it would be interesting to hear from others from your country. Thanx for starting the thread.

True that

It is very true that what works in one culture might or moght not work in another.of late i have been bumping into mixed relationships and marriages.And oflate guys from other races are showing intrest and its not about me tryna stand out or anything but in the same way as other african guys used to chat me up the same with the other guys.

But i noticed that other people from other countries when they come here they are really open minded about dating someone from another race.As for my family they are quite understanding,not all other families are like that.....lets see what others have to say about this,would be nice to hear abt other pip experiences.

cherryl, dear sister, i will say only this: i am married to a philippina and have been for 12 years. we have two very beautiful boys. their pics are on my profile. my opinion is that as long as he is a brother who glows with the glory he is plenty good enough.
