Is mohammad of the Quaron, really a prophet? And if he is then why is he not mentioned in the Bible? Besides the fact that the Bible was written before Mohammads time.

I have read a little about Mohammad on a couple of web sites and some read good things while others bad things about him. I tried to read with an open mind but when your stuck on Christ no one can compare. Anyway, just a little curious.

Peace and bless out.

As a matter of fact, yes, Mohammed was really a prophet, a false prophet.

This is my understanding on Mohammad. Realize that I am no expert and you should research on your own if you wish. My apologies if anything is wrong, but my focus is on understanding Jesus, not Mohammad.

Mohammad was kicked out of Meca, the 'capital city' of Islam. And moved to Medina. From there, he carried out raids on caravans and stole and murdered. At that time Meca was a city of many idols and gods. He decided that there should be only one god and decided on the Christian and Jewish God. He and his band of followers then returned to Meca violently and declared Allah as the one and only god. He was expecting support maybe from the Christians and Jews, but in light of his murderous rampage on the caravans the Jews and Christians rejected him as not of God.

I believe his actions speak for themselves. Is he from God? Unlike Saul, Mohammad was still killing and stealing after his declaration that he was a prophet. There was no change in him like in Saul. And David had a chance to kill his enemy, but didn't because it was not the time God had set forth for it. Did Christians and Jews kill? Yes, but under the umbrella of war, and under the guidance of God. Also those who were killing before they had faith changed. Muhammad didn't change, he was more of a pirate with a following than anything else. Try to realize that somewhere around 70% of the people who call themselves Muslims can't even read the Quran. Then learn only by what a teacher says, regardless if it is even written.

Be blessed,
Nigh

Of course, Mohammad is no prophet at all. Or like jiggyfly said.... you can call him a falseprophet or a prophet of the devil.

I read one testimony of a muslim guy who became a christian posted in talkjesus some time back.

I like one statement this scholar mentioned. He was comparing mohammed and JESUS CHRIST before getting saved. (Obviously...nothing compares to the King of Kings...)

he said " Mohammed died on the lap of his beloved wife aisha (this guy had many wives and much more concubines) ..... while JESUS CHRIST (our Lord) died the cruel death on the cross to redeem mankind from sin." After reading it I just cried.

To know that Jesus is a class apart. Nothing compares to His love. Nothing compares to knowing Him. There is no saint who can say His name without trembling. JESUS CHRIST IS LORD. HE ALONE IS LORD.

2 Timothy 4:2
Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.

2Jo 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

"Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction." (written to Timothy concerning the church) was not written concerning those who would pervert the gospel of Jesus Christ. (Gal 1:7) Paul says let him be accursed [greek def: ban or excommunicated]

Mar 1:15 The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
