"I will cleanse you from all your impurities." Ezekiel 3626
Each morning I pursue the same routine. My time spent at the mirror applying makeup has become a longer process with each passing year. The creams, lotions, powders and such line my bathroom counter, making me wonder if it is really all worth it. Then I look in the mirror, and decide, yes, think I had better have a go at it today! Alas, the process begins. But now, Praise God, I have a new vision flowing through my mind as the process proceeds. Let me share it with you.
Just as I put on the armor of God each day, now also will I don my face with Holy Scripture:1. Cleansing is the first procedure, and I will remember Ezekiel 36:25,26: "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."2. Next comes the wrinkle cream. I will apply the cream of wisdom ("Wisdom brightens a woman's face and changes its hard appearance. Ecclesiastes 8:1-b)3. Now is the time for foundation. Let me go to I Peter 3:34: "Remembering to cover my face with the attitude of my disposition" (hopefully, a Godly one).4. I want to powder with purity and blush with happiness: "A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face." Proverbs 15:13. I then apply the lip gloss of love, remembering I Corinthians and all that it tells me, and finish with a big smile, knowing that God has been remembered this morning, as I applied Biblical truths as well as cosmetics.
