Moses did everything just as the LORD had commanded him. Exodus 40:16 CSB
Taking heart is all about belief, isn’t it? After all, you don’t join a cause you don’t believe in. You don’t follow someone if you don’t trust what they say. You don’t tell other people about ideas you don’t accept as truth. You won’t obey things you believe are wrong.
Moses had seen plenty of examples of God’s faithfulness. There were the accounts of how God protected him from a death sentence as a baby, of Him speaking from a burning bush, and of the miracles Hew performed to set His people free from slavery. Moses had a long history of observing God’s faithfulness.
When the Lord gave him instructions on how to assemble the tabernacle, Moses didn’t have to ask for God’s resume and there was no need for references. God’s job was taken and it was secure. Moses needed to follow God—and he did.
Each day of your journey with God would make you more and more willing to take heart. Obedience becomes second nature, and trust is an easy gift. What if you had the same kind of legacy as Moses? Fill in your name and red the following sentence personally, _____________ did everything just as the Lord commanded.
Prayer: Obeying You means believing You, God. I believe You’re worth following, have answers to my questions, and are completely trustworthy.
