Sometimes I feel like I'm at a disadvantage when giving my testimony. I hear people giving their testimony and they've got a background with lots of interesting stories full of sex and drugs and occult, and people are always really interested to hear how they turned their life around. Wicked people like sharing stories of sin, and when a saved person has stories that are just as good as theirs, they'll listen to him and it seems like a good way to break the ice and start getting them interested in the gospel.
I don't have anything like that in my past so my testimony is really boring compared to that. I've believed in Jesus as long as I can remember, I've never been in any kind of trouble, and I got saved when I was 11. My life chaged after I got saved for sure, I got really interested in learning about God and the Bible and doing what he wants me to do. But when I try to talk to people who aren't saved about God we don't seem to have a lot in common and it's hard for us to relate with each other. They tell me I don't understand where their coming from and their right because I don't. So they don't listen to me.
Does anyone else have that problem? What do you do about it?
