Hi all,
On Tuesday morning my Dad had a stroke, we suspect that it was caused by his heart condition, he has an irregular heart beat sometimes and that can occasionally throw up clots to the brain. This was his first stroke.
My Dad is improving. It's at times like these when we realise just how lucky we are to have our parents. Many people don't have parents. I am pleased to report that since the bombshell that happened the day before yesterday, my Dad has regained some of his speach although his words are still slurred, he can move his right side now but his movements are limited. My Dad's intelligent mind is returning to him.
Unfortunately, there is a couple of killer bugs in the hospital where he is staying and so visiting is limited to one person at a time and between 7-8 pm at night. Unfortunately, he can't see his grandkids as children are not allowed in the hospital until the bugs are brought under control!
He is very bored in hospital any suggestions as to what he could do to pass the time would be most welcome, you have to pay money to watch the TV and he won't do this on principle. Also because of his diabeties, he just about sees things with a magnifying glass and glasses, he is 75 and he can't walk very far. I will continue to pray for him, so your prayers would be much appreciated. Does anyone also have ideas of what I could take to him, maybe poetry or some verse that might give him encouragement please.
God Bless You All
