My father is dying...

... and all I can do is pray. He's an old man now, and I guess it's his time. I'll be headed down to San Diego tomorrow to spend his last days with him, and to help my mother cope with the loss. I'll write from there. Thank you all for your prayers; if there's any way he might start eating again and recover, that would be fantastic. But if it's his time, let him go peacefully and without any more of the pain he's in.

Prayers just might help him recover, even at 86 years old. It's been known to happen. He is recently saved.

(Also I'd like to say thanks for your prayers on my job, too, I've got some great offers. *hug*) You all are so fantastic here at talkjesus, i'm so blessed I found you. Thank you, Holy Spirit!

Califlower, my prayers are with you and your mum. I lost my own dad in January this year, he was saved too and it was a privilege to be with him when he passed into the presence of the Lord. I was alone with him and sat and said from memory bible verses and words from his favourite hymns even though he had been semi-conscious for 6 weeks. It was so peaceful. God is our refuge and strength.

Prayers work Miracles Everyday

OH MY GOODNESS! Will I have to shout from the rooftops about the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!?? WILL I HAVE TO FALL TO MY KNEES IN ABUNDANT THANKS TO THE HOLY SPIRIT???!! I HOPE SO!!

BECAUSE MY FATHER IS FEELING BETTER LAST NIGHT. That ALONE is a miracle. :thumbs_up: I don't know if he'll stay alive, but at least, dear Lord, he is more comfortable. It is distinctly possible that his body could turn around and start to heal, and the cessation of symptoms last nighth makes me very very hopeful. NONE OF THIS COULD HAPPEN WITHOUT PRAYER! I am POSITIVE OF THAT! The minute I put my prayer request up, things started happening.

LOVE IS MY WITNESS!! PRAYER WORKS! Thank you all so very very much!! *hugs for you all*

AND YES MY FRIENDS, he is saved. He stood up in a church a few years ago while I was singing in choir, when the pastor asked if anybody wanted to give their life to the Lord. Of course, I couldn't sing I was so choked up with tears. My mother was too, she had waited so long to see him stop giving "lip service" to her and start REALLY loving the Lord!

I know I will see them both in Heaven. But for now it would be nice to keep him on Earth just a bit longer. Thank you for your prayers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some times that's all it takes - is Prayers! It is good to hear that he has recently been saved! And I'm so happy to hear he's feel better! I will be thinking about you & Dad. Pixie! Thank you for spreading that word, I can't believe this turnaround, it's not as though I don't have faith - I watch these prayer requrests work all the time! It's just that... this time it's ME that was asking. I guess my faith wasn't as strong as I thought, because I'm standing here MOUTH AGAPE, watching him finally be able to EAT something and hold it down. Why am I in shock? This happens all the time! It just doesn't happen to ME and MY FAMILY every day. I'm watching it *myself* this time, and realizing - they're totally confused by this. They don't understand, GOD DECIDES. Doctors have pretty much thrown up their hands... and in rides the PRAYER WARRIORS such as yourselves! Leaving them all scratching their heads!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL I don't know if this trend will continue but so far ..... he's alive and getting a bit better now, instead of wasting away. THANK YOU JESUS, HOLY SPIRIT.... PRAISE BE TO THE LORD FOR ANSWERING THE PRAYERS OF HIS CHILDREN!!!!!

Again I want to thank all my brothers and sisters in Christ here at TalkJesus for continuing to pray; although my father is a bit better, he's not out of the woods. He needs the strength to keep on fighting. At this point, really, it's up to him to save himself, and the Holy Spirit to help!

Indeed HE IS!! Thank you LadyBug!! We heard last night that much of this has been related not to his diabetes, but partially to an enlarged prostrate. So after surgery, if he survives it - in a few days - they say he'll be fine. This is truly a miracle if he lives after all he's been through!!! I am CONVINCED it's prayer, the doctors before were throwing up their hands. *grin* GOD IS SO GOOD!! EVERY PRAYER I have put up in Prayer Request has been answered - except one - and I expect to hear about that this week IF IT IS GOD'S WILL for me!
