My fiancé has Crohn's Disease

My fiancé has been diagnosed with Crohn's disease, I doubt many people know it, I never did until he had it.

It has no cause and no cure, it's chronic and painful, it changes your life forever, they put you on meds and a diet forever, he's been having pain for a month, non stop, lost 20 pounds, also this disease could lead to complications and surgeries, and it's patients have a chance to have colon cancer later on.

I still can't believe it... we are still very young, he turned 25 few months ago... we are supposed to get married next summer. I've been crying all day.

Please pray for my fiancé, he's a very good Christian and I can't live without him or see him suffer. I'm hoping his condition is mild and those flares he's having would decrease.

God bless.

Hi, I just want to say that I feel for you and your fiance. things like this just don't feel fair, I know. at times we want to cry out to God, demanding to know why something has happened, then we feel even worse because we feel guilty for questioning God.
You need to give the situation to God. It can be tempting to keep taking a difficult situation back and worrying about it, but you can keep giving it back to God. He understands how hard it is for a human being not to worry; He made us! But he does expect us to persevere. I have a cross that I made out of scrap material, pinned up on my bedroom wall. I got so bogged down with things that filled me with anxiety that I wrote each thing down on a piece of paper and pinned it to the cross, then prayed over it. every time i start worrying about any of these thing, I go to the cross and remind myself that it is being taken care of, even if it seems like the opposite is happening. it hasn't stopped me worrying completely, but each time i look at the cross, I have a peace for at least a short time, then I have to go back.
The Bible says that if we renew our minds (so that we are no longer conforming to the patterns of the world), then we will be able to test and approve what God's will is-His good, pleasing and perfect will. It can be hard to understand the will of God (and I'm not saying it's God's will that your fiance's sick, but that it has been allowed to happen, so there must be something that can come out of it that will glorify God), but that's only because we can't see the future that He has perfectly planned out for us.
And here is the best news. On God TV there is a man whose testimony they show very regularly in the adverts, who had a serious case of Crohn's, and who God healed! we worship a god who is as able to heal today, as he was in the days that Jesus walked the earth as a man. He is as able to part seas today, as he was in the days of Moses and Joshua. Stand firm, stay faithful to Him, and declair daily that whatever happens, God can bring good out of it. Satan wants you to crumble, and for your faith in god to be shaken, but God wants you to trust Him. Romans 8:28 is a scripture i'm sure you know. 'and we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.'
Take care. I will be praying for you both.

I am so sorry for your fiance and I will be praying for you and him.
