I had an out of body experience and this happened a year ago.
One night I was asleep and I could feel my spirit levitating and exiting my body, I saw my body from the outside and I was dead. Then I (my spirit) starting flying out of my apartment up into the sky and out of Earth's atmosphere, then I saw light everywhere but there were stars and nebulas. I started flying again towards this big star as big as the sun and I could see a gate and Heaven faintly past the gate, I knew it was the gateway to heaven. But then I started falling back through Earth's atmosphere and through the ceiling of my apartment and back into my body, I woke up gasping for air and sat there for a while trying to figure out what I had just experienced.
I felt like I was dead for 1-2 hours, and I have sleep apnea. It wasn't a dream it was very vivid. I've never felt out of body like that except for this one time, when I was flying towards Heaven I felt like my body was back on Earth and I didn't feel like I was in a body, I felt light like a cloud and free.
I could only faintly see Heaven but it was a big magnificent city that had a golden glow.
I believe God did it to prove to me that Heaven is for real and to affirm my faith but it wasn't my time to go to Heaven that's why He sent me back.
And it worked, Heaven is for real!
