My little brother's car accident

My little brother was in an accident with a tractor trailer this morning. His car was completely crushed from being rear ended by the truck and pushed on top of another vehicle in front of him. He walked away without a scratch on him. Everything in his car was crushed except for the driver's seat!!!! It was like his seat was in a bubble. The worst part of it all is he's not saved. He has completely turned his back on Jesus. He thinks he's too old to believe in God...he's 23 next month. He is in a fraternity in college and is obsessed with becoming rich. When my mom called me before she got to the hospital and seen he was ok I couldn't help but cry not because of the accident but because if he died he would be forever separated from Jesus. If this is not his wake up call from God that He loves him and just saved his life and is giving him another chance... I don't know what else is. I always try to talk to him about Jesus but he just brushes me off. When he comes over for Thanksgiving and Christmas my husband always prays before we eat and he just sits there and rolls his eyes. Please, please pray that he finds Jesus through this!!!! I love my little brother and feel responsible for him since I'm his older sister. It breaks my heart when I think about me feeding him his bottle when he was a baby and reading him stories in the rocking chair because that's how I see him now!!! :(:(

Every father and mother feels that way about their children if they love God and love their children. God will not force people to love or believe in Him, its not the way of love and faith. And love and faith are 2 of the 3 greatest things, so instead, cling to the third greatest thing, hope, and have faith in the Love Christ has for your brother, and continue in prayer for him. I will pray as well.

Hi Meredith

I'll be praying for your brother. That definitely should be a wake up call for him but sounds like he has a hardened heart. There's hope in Christ so surrender it to God and let the Holy Spirit do His work on him.

I am praying for your little brother. College can be an unfortunate experience. When God called me in I had to unlearn a lot of what I had learned in school. Our God is still able, but the hardened heart has to go. Let us pray that God will do whatever is necessary to soften his heart.
