I feel like I have lost complete control of my life. I have had depression for years and it has affected my children, my husband and my work and day to day life. So much so that my husband says he has no love for me anymore but won't leave for the kids sake. He ignores me, sleeps on the couch and seems irritated whenever I speak to him. Our conversations are mostly one liners through text messaging. My 9 year old son is ADHD and has Oppositional Defiant Disorder and most days I don't know how to handle him. He gets angry and yells at me and breaks things. His school work and conduct is horrible. It seems like no matter what I do I can't do it right. Everything seems to need immediate attention and I just don't have the energy to deal with it. Any words of advice would be appreciated and more importantly prayers. I know ultimately I am not in control, God is....but I just don't know what to do.

You will recover for you have been honest. You will be strong for you came here. God is madly in love with you, thinking constantly about you and wanting you to spill these things on the page.

I assume you love Jesus. Don't go to a counsellor for The Holy Spirit is your counsellor, comforter and He will hold you whenever you need to be held. You need to now kick the demon of depression out in Jesus name – he is trespassing on The Holy Spirit's property. Second, ask God for the next step. If He says come back to me, come back to me...no messing around. Order and decency are the key words I have for you my special friend.

There are certain matter's we must know and accept by God and His Word:

"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household." (Matthew 10:34-36)

"..every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:" (Matthew 12:25)

"Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ." (Galatians 6:2)
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." (Galatians 6:9)

"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 15:58)

"For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ." (2 Corinthians 1:5)

"..we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; Ye also helping together by prayer for us," (2 Corinthians 1:8-11)

"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body." (2 Corinthians 4:7-10)

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:" (2 Corinthians 4:17-5:2)

"My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9)

"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings;" (1 Peter 4:12-13)

"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you." (1 Peter 5:10)

"The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." (Psalms 34:18)

"
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31)

"And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD: Remembering mine affliction and my misery,..My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD." (Lamentations 3:18-26)

"I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon. Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry. Thou drewest near in the day that I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not." (Lamentations 3:55-57)

"In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33)
