Hello brother's and sisters,

I wanted to share with you my personal motto, which is "live everyday as if it were your last." The reason behind this is because we may tend to put things off for tomorrow, but what if tomorrow never came? What if today was our last day on earth?

When it comes to talking about God, it is difficult for me at times. It's so hard to approach someone and tell them about God. So I tell myself, I will talk to them next time. But what if there isn't a next time?

For example: say you get into a fight with someone you love. You think to yourself, "I will apologize later, or they should come apologize to me." But what if you never see that person again? I could not life knowing that the last thing I told them were hurtful words.

These past few month, my fiancé and I have been trying to minister to some people we know. Both were Buddhist. One of the girls completely changed her whole look at life. She is now a believer in Christ. Because we shared our faith, and a prayer written in a letter, she will spend eternity with the Lord.

My cousin is also the other person that my fiancé and I have been ministering in. Well mostly him. Just last night, my cousin told him that he is willing to learn more about Jesus.

If we did not step out of the box, then their lives would have not been saved. I try to make sure that I do not procrastinate, or think to myself, "tomorrow" because tomorrow may never come.

Blessings,
monkeys

This lines up with what Jesus taught on the Sermon on the Mount sister.

Matthew 6:34
34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

The whole teaching starts at verse 25 and it's really a must read for any Christian, new or old.

Jesus is in essence saying here, without doubt, that tomorrow is nothing, do not give thought about tomorrow, do not talk about it, do not worry about it and don't live for tomorrow.

Jesus is saying, live for today. I can truly thank Jesus today and say with a joyful and thankful heart that I totally live for today, I was given this gift about a year and half ago, I thank Jesus for it everyday.

I don't think about tomorrow, I don't think about yesterday, it never enters my mind, it's wonderful and to God be the glory.

We can all receive this gift from Jesus, all we have to do is ask, I asked for it and I received.

Matthew 21:21-22
21Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. 22If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

Mark 11:24
24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Believe, ask and receive, live for today and tomorrow will come and go away!

God bless
Much love

Well done monkeys and it is so true tomorrow never comes. Procrastination is not a good thing.

I was always told never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.

Thank you for sharing with others how easy it is to minister to others and share the good news.

The angels rejoice over 1 sinner who is saved.

I like the song which says One day at a time sweet Jesus.

I'm only human--I'm just a man/woman.
Help me believe in what I believe and all that I am.
Show me the stairway that I have to climb,
Lord, for my sake, teach me to take, one day at a time.

One day at a time, sweet Jesus, that's all I'm asking of you.
Teach me today, to do all the things that I have to do.
Yesterdays gone, sweet Jesus, and tomorrow may never be mine.
Lord, for my sake, teach me to take, one day at a time.

Do you remember, when you walked among men?
Well, Jesus you know, if you're looking below, It's worse now than then.
There's cheating and stealing--violence and crime.
So for my sake - teach me to take one day at a time.

One day at a time, sweet Jesus, that's all I'm asking of you.
Teach me today, to do all the things that I have to do.
Yesterdays gone, sweet Jesus, and tomorrow may never be mine.
Lord, for my sake, teach me to take, one day at a time.

God bless you :rose: :rainbow:

Thank you teraside and ladylovesJesus for replying to my post. :) LadylovesJesus, I got goosebumps when I saw that song. It is one of my favorite songs.

It's so easy to get caught up in the fast-paced world, and we often forget to trust in God, put our life in Jesus, and to take one day at time!

Yes monkeys you are so right about getting caught up in the world these days. We sure do need to take just one day at a time.

I know of people who learn to do just that when they are faced with illness.

God bless you  :rainbow: :rose:
