how many of us learned to heed insruction and get save from destruction?
here is my sister's story.
DHANG is younger than me for a year. every time she got a burden i would give her advise and solicits also from other. but she's not heeding at all.
because of this attitude of hers, she oftentimes fail in her ways. until learned not to share her plans anymore for the fear she may fail again.
she graduated college without getting her credentials due to unfinish requirements and failures to cope up with some instructions. this deprived her to take licensure examination for teachers within three years. God's grace she was able to teach one year using only her class cards and graduation pictures as a proof she's an education graduate.
after getting her credentials from her alma mater, she wanted to take the licensure exam but advise her not to take it yet because she must prepare herself first. Got some review for refreshing yet insisted. she said its her faith she should past, so no choice but to support. the result, failure. she got frustrated and became more desperate.
she planned going abroad so i said ok. try saving your money till this next three months and me too will save then start by january processing. she agreed but did not heed really. instead she went on her way and seek another guidance and help from one sister. Filed application immediately signed a contract with her agency a fly now and pay later sheeme worse affixing her signature no turning back agreement.
Timing our aunt in Taiwan called declaring support but for singapore only (for direct hiring. my cousin Leng was there doing the search for possible employer for dhang) and dhang's papers in her agency was forwarded to Lebanon and having an employer soon. Interviews finish, waiting for visa, still no cash on hand if needed. Lebanon, a war zone country, recently we're receiving news of misbehaviors, abuses and killings of domestic Filipina workers there. A lot of advise and warnings she got.
we all wanted her for Singapore and she herself would like to but cannot know how to get out of the mess she entered in. So she has double application for Lebanon and Singapore both having soon employer. because of her hasty ways, she got trouble because if she would back out from the agency she would be paying large amount of money. even attorney of the other agency (for singapore) is not of help. no choice she fled for lebanon. after three months she called wanted to go home because her situation was not good. Two more months gone war breaks lebanon exactly where dhang stays. i never thought she would be able to go back home dead or alive. by God's grace she was able to escape because her employers would not let her go. i called on her employers and they said she was safe but did not want to let DHANG talk to me. almost one month of agonizing prayer before dhang went home very, very safe.
it's hard for my sister to wait and learn to heed advise. after the incident again she wanted to go back abroad. by this time we prayed. after almost one year we got the answer. with all God's favor, employers (Hongkong) was a direct opposite she had in Lebanon. so she was again placed in a situation where guidance calls, she asked my opinion yet still did her own way. we got all troubled after her decision. the family almost in chaos and hurting one another, me their own sole shock absorber, very bad.. thanks God for His strength and guidance. All things work together for good, the devil meant it to impain us all but God turned it to be a blessing. and more others actions she deed turning out to be a mess.
lastly, she desired to apply for Canada, for her contract is about to end up August next year. and there the opportunity popped up immediately. it's good she learned to pray this time and asked for God's guidance.. After reading a portion of the Scriptures of which she doesn't UNDERSAND either.. she called to our close friend here and ask for advice, in her mind it still she the one doing the final decision. But what she got was not a counsel but a command. this is because of the Scripture she shared. She was shocked by our friends bold declaration (NO, U BETTER BACKOUT NOW.] It is good she heed this time. if not she should be one of those fooled by that illegal recruiter carrying away the money of the other five companion of hers in the church. ?? She just called this day and testified about this thing. Im glad my sister learnt to heed intruction at last..
