This is short and simple...
I was playing frisbee golf today and was hoping I would make my first hole-in-one. On one particular hole, I was imagining that God would bless me and send the disc perfectly through the air and into the basket on the first shot. I did throw it farther than usual, and it did land close to the basket, but no cake. I realized I was placing my own expectation on God's will for me. He took me to the goal the way He wants me to get there. Of course I want to get there in one shot, who doesn't? Instead of me getting there in one shot, God wantes me to focus on the One who did, Jesus Christ. He is the only person who walked this life in perfection, and then sacrificed His life for the forgiveness of our sins so that we can make it to the goal through Him only.
