Have you ever looked up the meaning of your name? Named were important in the Bible and had significant meanings. Especially when God gave someone a calling He gave them a new name.

What's the meaning of your name?

Chad: battle warrior, protector, defender

The Biblical baby name Ed is Hebrew in origin and it's meaning is witness.

Ed is pronounced ed.

After the Exodus, when the tribes of Israel were settled in the Promised Land of Canaan, the tribes of Reuben and Gad built a great altar as witness that Jehovah is God. They named this altar Ed.

Biblical reference for baby name Ed:
Joshua 22:34
Strong's concordance H5707 - See more at: http://www.biblical-baby-names.com/meaning-of-ed.html...

Names attracted my attention a while ago....I find it's interesting while reading the prophets to remember the names.

My first discovery in Bible names is The city of Peace (Jerusalem) is in the area of Praise (Judah).

Another one that I heard from another Christian (it was a favorite with him) is that God is the God of Faith (Abraham), Laughter (Isaac) and Tricks (Jacob).

Good research, Ed!

Thanks for the thread, Chad!
