I am peter, from India, am 26 and very desperate, without having a life partner. so kindly pray for that God may provide a life partner in my life soon

Hi Peter, might I suggest that you should be careful what you wish for? Very long time ago I was at a childrens' mission and one of the helpers there made it quite obvious to all the single guys that she was available. Most kept a distance but one lad fell for her charms and the following year they were married.

The marriage didn't work out, she walked and he was totally devastated. In fact, soon afterwards he took his own life, it was all really very sad.

The reason I recount this to you is to to emphasise that God has a plan for you. Please do not rip his plan up and substitute it for your own. God knows what you need and I promise He hasn't forgotten you.

Might I suggest you put yourself about in Christian circles, looking for friends rather than a potential partner, therefore male or female? Get yourself out to other church events and perhaps Christian holidays, widen your circle of friends. Meet and get to know more people.

You never know you may well bump into someone who really clicks with you. But let that be in God's timing rather than grabbing the first girl that smiles at you.

Dear Lord God, I pray for my dear brother Peter, I ask that you will give him the comfort, peace and knowledge that you are in full control of his life and that you are working towards his best interests because you know his needs and know him intimately.

Please God give him the comfort of your Holy Spirit working in him to perfect his relationship with you. Please Lord give him patience to wait upon you.

Amen.

Thanks for sharing, Peter. I just said a prayer for you, asking the Lord to bless you with a suitable life partner and take care of everything that concerns you. He cares more deeply than we can imagine and is faithful to respond according to His perfect will. God’s richest blessings to you!

Just another point of view as Paul states in the bible being single is a gift and allows us to serve the Lord easier and with less burdens of this world.

Me I came to Christ single and consider it a blessing and plan on staying single, much easier to stay focused on Christ that way for me

1 Corinthians 7:32-35
I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided. And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit. But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband. I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord.

It is fear and loneliness that drives you to find a life partner now. When someone is desperate, they make bad choices. Better to ask God to help you be content until the day the person He would choose for you shows up.

brother brad good to see you posting and wise words of wisdom !!

I've been widowed a year now -- after 46 yrs. of marriage. I'm learning how to make decisions that I've never had to make previously. I'm a natural-born follower so I'd love to have someone to follow. As it has been pointed out to me at various times -- I need to be relying on God's leading -- rather than on another person's leading. It's easier to follow someone I can 'see' rather than on an unseen God.

And I'm realizing that this evening, my computer's keyboard is now typing correctly. It had been stuck on all caps. So it would appear that God has 'healed' my keyboard. Thank you :)

Dear Lord, I pray Peter grows greatly in faith and love for you first and foremost. Let him know your peace and care upon and for him. Also that his life and purpose comes from you. You know his heart and situation, I pray that he rests in you more and your will for his life. We praise and love you Lord much. In your name Amen.
