Need More Christian Friends

Over the past few years, I've been going through A LOT. I recently got to a point where I am in need of more Christian friends to talk to on a regular basis. I'm a single mom with 2 small boys and I am living back in my hometown (Milwaukee, WI). Most of my friends no longer live in the city and I get kind of depressed because I have no one to talk to or hang out with.

Do you belong to a local bible based church? If not, it's very important to find one. Ask in prayer, He'll lead you.

Hi, look for singles groups in nearby churches, check to see if there are ministries like Love Inc, in your area, Stop in at a Salvation Army Thrift store, Check local newspaper and phone book for Christian organizations. Start a neighborhood Bible Study, volunteer your home for a cell or small group bible study.

Hi Chanel, welcome to Talk Jesus! You'll find some good fellowship here, although I know it is not the same as in person. Daniel had some great ideas. I would suggest looking into the Salvation Army (a lot of people don't know they are actually a church, not just a social organization). They have four locations in Milwaukee. My wife and I were involved with the SA for many years. They have a ton of things to do - women's, men's and children's groups, day camp activities, music and art programs, volunteer opportunities and on and on. All Christian based focused around Jesus.
