What do you think of this customized version of a new possible web chat software? See screenshot. The modified portions is the built in mp3 player on the right which is going to cost $$$, but I would like feedback before I invest.

The MP3 player features would include

• stream mp3 from my local server
• stream online radio stations
• sort by artist, song title or genre
• mini search box to search song list
• volume / start / stop / pause
• shuffle playlist
• search / sort function (category, artist, song, genre, sermons)

Chat Features will include

• text formatting
  • color
  • size
  • style
• multi-rooms with invite system
• theme to match rest of forum
• chat status icons (online, busy, away, etc)
• file sharing
  • photos
  • music
  • other files
• multi-language support
• smiley icons
• audio alerts
• chat history log

I ran the demo brother. It looks really inviting. It's a bit hard to see how fast it is at responding, since only I was online on the demo

I don't have any suggestions however, lest to say follow the voice of the Holy Spirit.

I viewed the demo and it looks quite good but there were not many smilies in there compared to what we have at this present time. I know you are trying to find the best chat room for us to have with mp3 player too.

Definitely need to have sounds for chat as I would miss people coming in or chatting if there were no sounds. The sounds I heard were rather quiet I thought.

I do like the idea of music sharing as we have to use instant messenger to do this at the moment.

I am limited to my usage of streaming at peak times. The MP3 player looks really cool though.

I like the original color on the demo. I'm not on chat that often , beside for pray. But I like the mp3 features.

Thats awesome then Chad if you can do all those things so we can hear the sounds like we do now. Sometimes with music playing I do not hear when someone rings the bell as it is so quiet.

I should not be surprised that you have found this chat room as we have been praying for you. God answers in His perfect timing.

As you can see, sounds great but $759 is up there. Please pray that I make the right decision here. GOD provides all, I have the money to purchase this because GOD has provided already. Its a matter of using this money wisely.

it is nice - easy to see type which seems to be an issue if you use colored text now. But whatever I am sure it will be fine

After having an open prayer at home this evening, these things came to mind.
The old adage, "if it's not broke, don't fix it."
Also, years ago we had an extra $50.00 and were wondering what to do with it. We were pondering over blessing a ministry, etc. While praying about it, the unction came upon my wife to take the whole family out to eat. Back in those days our kids were young, and we weren't that well off, so we didn't do many interesting things. That evening at Chile's Restaraunt was one of the most memorable evenings we have had, the kids had a ball, and the desserts were fabulous. The memory still remains among us all.
Maybe you could send your Mom some roses, or maybe you could use a new tux, or a vacation cruise

I still live with the parents, so the "send mom roses" thing is sweet, but it would be awkward as I never do these sweet things lol. As for new tux, only when I get married . Vacation cruise? I desire that for sure, been so for a long time now. Just cannot find the right people to go with at the right time unfortunately. Everyone is pre-occupied, married up or having a new baby.

I'm still debating about the chat room. I'll keep on praying until I feel a definite answer from GOD. The current chat room is ok, but it does not blend well nor function good enough to my standards for this site. I want something top notch that can handle dozens of concurrent users, with full flexibility, features and a theme that matches the rest of the forum.

Chad, as I read your last comment in regards to your debate of a new chat room, I felt a strong feeling of, "Thy will be done" within me. I have no doubt that the Holy Spirit is inside of you, giving you direction.
