One thing I notice here is given our (human) curiousity and stubborness you'll see a lot of "conflict" in discussions but no outright hatred, cursing, fighting, etc. that I've seen.
The authority here is God and what He's said no one else.
The mods are the ones who, IMO, have done well in keeping this site better and far removed from all mainstream social sites.

People make mistakes. Some people have learned wrong and have had that idea for so long that wrong/bad information must be corrected.

No site is immune from trolls and people wanting to cause drama.
