Jesus said in Luke 5:36-39 36 And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new agreeth not with the old.37 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles; else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish.38 But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both are preserved.39 No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.”

The new wine Jesus is talking about here is the New Living Testament that a man (bottle) can only receive by the Spirit when he is made a new man in Christ (new bottle).

This “new wine” or the “New Living Testament” is not written outwardly on paper or stone, but is written inwardly on our hearts and minds by the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:3
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, “but with the Spirit of the living God”; not in tables of stone, “but in fleshy tables of the heart.”

This testimony of Jesus Christ by the Spirit cannot be understood by the old natural man (old bottle) neither can it be received and retained.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Thus not being able to receive the new wine, the old bottles (natural man) will perish. If a man is born again of the Holy Spirit, he is made a “new bottle”( new man in Christ) and therefore is able to receive and retain the “New wine” ( the Testimony of Jesus Christ) by the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature (new bottle) old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

You must be born again and be made a new bottle in order to receive and retain the New wine. Peace and God bless

The Old Covenant was written on stone, the New "Living" Covenant is written on the fleshy tables of our heart. The Old was signified by the token (sign) of an outward fleshy circumcision done by the hands of man. The New Living Covenant is ministered to us by the "Living" Word of God dwelling "in" us, (Christ in us) and is written on our hearts and minds by the circumcision of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said those who truly believed in Him, out of their bellies shall come forth "Living waters".

Now many have read the words contained in the New Testament, but fewer yet have truly "received" and "retained" them, this is because they have yet to made a "new creation" in Christ. For "new wine" must be put into "new wine skins" and both are preserved. Just as many have read the words contained in the New Testament, but not many have truly "heard" those words and come to truly "understand" them in their hearts and minds. This is because their ears are also yet to be "circumcised" by the Holy Spirit; therefore remains the "fleshy veil" covering their hearts and minds. This new "Living" Covenant is shown in Hebrews 10:20 "By a new and "Living way", which He has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;

Without the "Living Word and Spirit of God" dwelling "in" a man, a man can be ever learning by "worldly" knowledge but never able to come to the full knowledge of the Truth. Like the body is dead without the spirit, it is the Spirit that brings "to Life" an understanding in us that surpasses all of man’s carnal knowledge.

Having the eyes of our understanding "illuminated" by the Oil of gladness, the Spirit like a fire lights the lamp of God’s words in us so that we may now know, see, hear, and understand them. And in being given understanding by the Spirit, we are also then able to bear good fruit through the Vine of Life, which is Christ our righteousness working "in" us.

The Holy Spirit bears witness to our spirit what is the acceptable will of God. It is by God’s Living Word and Spirit dwelling "in" us that we now have a heart and mind like Christ. When God’s Living Word and Spirit enter into your house, the darkness will soon flee because the Light of the Truth will "illuminate" the insides of your house. The darkness has no place in the Light, just as the lies of men have no place in the Spirit of Truth. The Spirit will guide you into all Truth, and will also show you and guide you in "the Way" in which you should walk, "listen" to Him.

If the Living Word and Spirit of God dwells "in" you, your conscience will be washed and purged clean of all impure thoughts and evil works and desires; even giving you a pure and holy conscience after being cleansed. Only then will you be able to bring into captivity "every thought" into the obedience of Christ.

Hebrews 9:14 "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself with spot to God, "purge your conscience" from "dead works" (=sin) to serve the Living God. Hebrews 10:2 "For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged "should have had no more conscience of sins." (clean conscience)

If the inside of the vessel is first made clean by Christ, then the outside of the vessel shall also be made clean. Blessed are "the pure in heart": for they shall see God.

Peace and God bless

The carnally minded man (old bottle) cannot receive the Testimony of Jesus Christ ( new wine)

John 3:8-12

King James Version

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?
10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.
12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

John 3:31-33

King James Version

31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.”

The natural man= the carnally minded man CANNOT receive the Testimony of the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:10-14

King James Version

10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

Those who are of the world are of the spirit of this world called “it”; For this reason they CANNOT receive the testimony given by the Spirit of Truth.

John 14:17
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.”

Those who are of the world will receive those who come in their own name, but they will not receive those who the Lord sends in His name.

Ezekiel 3:4-7

King James Version

4 And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.
5 For thou art not sent to a people of a strange speech and of an hard language, but to the house of Israel;
6 Not to many people of a strange speech and of an hard language, whose words thou canst not understand. Surely, had I sent thee to them, they would have hearkened unto thee.
7 But the house of Israel will not hearken unto thee; for they will not hearken unto me: for all the house of Israel are impudent and hardhearted.”

John 5:43
I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

But something has gone wrong.
The comforter is not a liar. And is not the author of confusion. So if the Holy Spirit is teaching all these denominations, why is he taching so many conflicting doctrines?

Who said the Holy Spirit is teaching all these different denominations?

If all were taught by God and His Spirit of Truth, then they would all be speaking the same thing. This just proves they are being taught by carnally minded men and not by Christ.

My point exactly.
So why bother with institutions and great buildings? Who should a person reach out to for true doctrine, advice and support.

But if they cannot hear the Spirit for themselves?
Trust in the words of Jesus Christ.

Luke 11:9-13

King James Version

9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”

Deuteronomy 4:29
But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Jeremiah 29:12-13

King James Version

12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13 And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Proverbs 8:17
I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.
