No resolutions

Don't know about you but I will not lie to myself and profess all I plan to accomplish this next year with a New Years resolution !
in stead il just say its never about what I'm going to do but what God HAS done !

I thank The Lord above for salvation that stands the test of time !
in 2013 He hath caused my faith to grow by leaps and bounds through trials ,tribulation and tragedy allowed !
God has restored our finances , gave us favor with our employers and those who abused us !
My family is whole and complete and Christ is closer every day !
Now isn't that better ? Join me beloved and let us lift praises to God for what he has done and what He is going to do in the year to come in Jesus name .....Rev \0/

Resolutions are broken more often than they are kept, have we learned nothing from the law? its best we live each day at our best, and claim forgiveness of sin when we fall short, and so retain our relationship with the Lord who loves us so.

Nice Bro. Rev. Your title caught my eye. hehe

One Sunday Service I was encouraged by these statements by the ministering pastor as she prayed for the congregation. These words had helped me a lot to travel through 2013. hehe

1. First indeed with thanksgiving, continue to remember what God has done in your life (His salvation) and consider all what he did in the past.
2. Recognize and thank God for what He is doing daily in your life.
3. And thank the Lord for what He is still going to do. Yay. Amen

As said in a song...

"God is working, He's still working, God is working even now.
Though we often don't know just how.
God is working, He's still working, God is working even now."... Praise God.

I for myself haven't made any resolution this year. Actually it's not my custom to make any but one thing for sure before the year ends and the new year would begin, the Lord is always faithful to at least give a specific Word for the next coming year. This 2014 I receive a couple of Words of inspiration that I could stand on and would serve as my guide to whatever I may go through again this year believing what ever will happen we can rely on God's Words. PTL. Amen and amen.

Instead of a New Year's Resolution, God gave me two words for this year. Focus and Action.

This was my facebook status at the beginning of the year:

My words for this year...if you haven't heard are focus and action. For if you have one without the other, you won't get far. Focus without action will only lead to dreaming and not actually any fruit for the dreams to come true! Action without focus will only lead to a wandering "spirit" that goes, but has no place to go towards! So I shall work on focus...focusing on certain goals...and ACTUALLY doing them!

So maybe that's what we need. Instead of a resolution...we need God to show/tell us words that will help us to accomplish what HE wants for us this year. It's going to be a great year!
