NO TURNING BACK
Read: Hebrews 13:5

As the song plays on “The cross before me the world behind me, no turning back praise the Lord no turning back.”

In this life and on this journey it is never that simple and never that easy. We all have our own cross to bear and sometimes that load is heavy. We do tend to lay it aside for anyone (boyfriend, girlfriends, family and friends) that crosses our path. It is never obvious and intentional but it is something that happens.

How does Christ feel in the process? It is nothing we consider or think about cause we know that “He will never leave us or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5),” but we forsake Him. He is right there where you left Him with open arms wondering when His prodigal child will return home.

It is easy to stray and it is all because of the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eye. The grass always looks greener on the other side of the pasture. Our flesh is never content and always desire more gratification. James 1:14-15 says “But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.”

The truth of the matter is we going to have trials and temptation that will sometimes push or pull you out of God’s presence. But we must never lose heart and never stay in our sinful state. The word tells us that the “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. (2 Corinthians 7:10).”

Most people feel like they shouldn’t repent for a sin that seems to keep on reoccurring. That is a plan and scheme of the enemy once you have sin before God confess it because “He is faithful and just to cleanse us from our sins and forgive us of our unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).” We must realize that some of us may still be in bondage to certain sin but who the “Son set free is free indeed (John 8:36).”

Wherever you are on this journey in Christ just know that even if you slip and fall off course that God is faithful. Always lay your sin and burdens before Him because He cares for you and He already died for anything you will ever do. We need to stop nailing Him back on the cross because the truth of the matter is He as already over come the world.

As the song plays on “The cross before me the world behind me, no turning back praise the Lord no turning back.”

Be Encourage

I like to emphasize the great truth you posted here:

“He is faithful and just to cleanse us from our sins and forgive us of our unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

” We must realize that some of us may still be in bondage to certain sin but who the “Son set free is free indeed (John 8:36).”

That is awesome truth that we should remember at heart. We need to also learn to forgive ourselves instead of letting it eat away at our souls [the sin]. Confess the sin at the moment your aware of it. Keep in mind, what reason or excuse do you have not to confess immediately? Do you have to labor to confess? No. Do you have to "pay the price" the way Jesus did? No.
