Hiya,
I have never been brought up with Jesus and the Bible so i have never bothered about it all and my partner is a true believer of Jesus and the Bible and I really want to believe in Him for my partners sake. I try and pray in my own way to Jesus but every time I talk to him I feel like He isn't helping me in anyway.

My daughter had a operation about 2 years ago and I prayed to Jesus that she will be ok and she was, and my nan got ill 6 years ago and yet again I prayed that she will be ok and for Jesus to make her well again but she didn't get well she died.....now, I do believe in Jesus in one way because of my daughter getting well but I don't believe in God for not saving my nan.

So I don't now how to believe and to ask Jesus to be my saviour, I don't know how to do anything that has anything to do with Jesus.

Its not head knowledge you need, although sometimes knowledge does lead people to serve the Lord. You will never believe in Jesus if only to please someone else. "You" must want to know the Lord. For if you seek Him with "all YOUR heart", you shall find Him. As to people dying, if people didnt die for even 200 to 300 years, the world would be so overpopulated, we would surely starve to death. Death is not our enemy, indeed, death is my friend, for being away from the body (the spirit), means being closer to the Lord, and beyond the suffering in this fallen world. To base your faith on the Lord keeping everyone you love alive is truly not realistic, our spirit continues on after death, so its only the body that dies.

Hi there! I hope you are well.
Accepting Jesus as your saviour is as simple as believing in him, and asking him to forgive you your sins. Someone may be able to help you down the Romans road better than I but I do have some words of advice love:
If you want to learn about Jesus, I would encourage you to search Him out in your bible. I wouldn't try to test God by assuming he will answer all of your prayers. (God knows our needs before we ask) Regardless of what we think we want or need, God's will is most important and will always be done. (This is not the easiest thing to accept when we do not fully understand death, but I promise, the bible sheds a lot of light on death and it's important necessity as a part of life; Perhaps God needed her to come home. I am sorry you lost her, I know that pain of hurting, and just not understanding why).

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

John 9: 32 Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. 33 If this man were not of God, he could do nothing. 34 They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out. 35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. 38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him. 39 ¶ And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

John 20:30 ¶ And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: 31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Acts 8:36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? 37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. (This is one of my favorite stories that I've studied so far).

Acts 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Acts 16: 29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Romans 10:8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

1 Thessalonians
4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

1 John 3: 21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

John 3:16 ¶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

God bless you I hope this helps! Always lean to scripture and God will answer any questing you have. (purebiblesearch.com)

I do want to know the Lord but haven't got a clue on how to go about it but I'm feeling nothing maybe if I had Jesus and the Bible in my past I might feel something

Hi @katrinab7198 and welocme!
I have never been brought up with Jesus and the Bible
Me neither.
I try and pray in my own way
Your way would be just fine. Romans 8: 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
but every time I talk to him I feel like He isn't helping me in anyway.
Just because you are not getting the results you want, doesn't mean he is not working in your life
I do believe in Jesus in one way because of my daughter getting well but I don't believe in God for not saving my nan.
We live in the physical world, with all it's imperfections and are subject to it's frailties. A beautiful flower blooms and grows, how it dies is a matter of the situation...maybe it was stepped on. This doesn't mean that God caused that, nor did he not answer your pray about your Nan. BTW, Jesus and God are one, you can't believe or love one without the other.
So I don't now how to believe and to ask Jesus to be my saviour, I don't know how to do anything that has anything to do with Jesus.
You have to get him inside you, you must be Born Again, see John 3: 3-5
When you are ready do something like as in : Romans 10: 8-13
Don't do it for your husband, do it for your self.

I am just curious... when you say "partner". Is this someone you are living with?
I'm not judging you. (I have been there too). But there is a reason I ask.

Sis @katrinab7198, read the Word; you make a consistent effort to seek Him, read, this is called renewing your mind by washing of water by the Word. Amen. Sis, He will meet you there. From the heart, seek Him. God hears us when we speak from the heart. Your wanting more, speak to God like a friend. Ask Him to help you to believe; ask, nothing wavering or doubting, and ye shall receive. God's arm is not shortened. Be honest with God, and call out to Him. I assure you He is already smiling because you have began your search in Christ. God bless you sis.

Sis @katrinab7198 the Lord tells us to seek Him with all our heart, mind, body, and strength; fervently and diligently seek Him. Sis, the Lord told me people have heard this over and over and have turned a deaf ear, so He gave me something that means the same thing, but maybe a bit easier for one to understand; revolve your life around Him, the very being of who you are, He will revolve around you and become your very being. Amen.
If we want God to be consistent with us, then we must be consistent with God.
When reading and you come across a part that says "I pray", pray it for yourself. God is a Spirit; and those who seek Him must seek Him in spirit and in truth. Most often when we feel like God is not answering our prayers it is because we are praying amiss. Pray spiritual prayers, not for more money, or a new car, (things the flesh lust after) but the spiritual things of God. It is an eternal thing; this world and these things in it is temporary. Pray for the everlasting eternal life of God in you.
I am so excited for you, sis. May the Lord bless you with His wisdom and understanding by revelation knowledge of Jesus Christ. Amen
All praise, glory and honor be unto God.

There is a lot of good advice here. But a relationship with Jesus, is a lot like a relationship with anyone else.
There are people that love us. Maybe a spouse, maybe a parent, maybe a good friend. But even though they love us, we don't always feel like it. We may not always see the things they do for us. Some days, we may not feel like
loving them back....

But we need to do it anyway. Being a relationship isn't always about what someone else can do for us.
Knowing Jesus isn't about making deals. I'll love and follow you if you do this for me doesn't work
with the creator of the world. But if we're only in a relationship for what someone else is doing for us,
it might not be the right reason.

You say your partner (you don't mention male or female) is a believer.
A believer isn't supposed to be living with anyone. I suspect you already know this.
I've been there, I've done it. Even though I know I wasn't supposed to.
During that time, I also felt distant from God. I also felt He wasn't listening to me.

It took a little while, but I finally got my life turned around. I've been married for years
now. Jesus has started blessing me again. I hear His voice again.

Jesus doesn't reject you because you're not perfect, but after some time He expects
you to make some changes in your life.

Not everyone agrees with this, but I'm a believer in the sinners prayer.
After that, something called the Romans road.

The sinners prayer isn't anything magical or mystical. It's just a prayer from the heart.

I know that I'm a sinner. I know I need a savior. I ask you Jesus to be my savior.
I want to give my life to you. I want to surrender my life completely to you.
I ask you to come into my life.
I confess that I am living with someone right now, I know I need to repent of this also.
Jesus please help me to change this situation in my life.

1 Cor 6:9; says that fornicators will not inherit the kingdom of heaven. It says do not be deceived.
Fornication is just a fancy word for having sexual relations with someone you aren't married to.

Some on here will say I'm judging you. I'm not. I certainly can't cast any stones.
But when Jesus found a couple of different women... one was caught in the very act of adultery,
and about to be stoned. The other one had five different husbands, and the man she was with
now wasn't her husband. He forgave them. But He told them... go and sin no more.
He expected them to make a change.
